The Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics was established at Santosh Deemed to be University in Year 2005 as a Post Graduate Department. Since then Department is engaged in teaching Orthodontics, a specialty dental subject along with improved quality of research work and clinical excellence of post graduate students. Treatment facilities provided in the department are fixed orthodontic treatment, semi-fixed and removable orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics. Besides the clinical excellence, the Faculty of Department is highly research oriented in various areas of interest like Dentofacial Orthopedics, Micro-implants, Invisible Orthodontics, TMJ studies and Newer Diagnostic Aids. Department has achieved many Awards, copyrights, patents and publications.

Department Faculty have completed many Seed Money Projects and post graduate students have completed around 28 PG Research Projects in various research areas under MDS Protocol. More than 70 articles have been published in various National and International Journals by Department faculty and students.
