MISSION

  • To depart extensive knowledge of pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases related to oral and para-oral structures.
  • To help the patient with adequate diagnosis by facilitating routine and advanced diagnostic tests.
  • To initiate and promote new ideas and innovation in the field of research.

  • To train the dental graduates and postgraduates to acquire adequate knowledge, necessary skills, and attitudes required for carrying out all the activities appropriate to diagnosis, investigations and treatment plan.
  • Overall well being of the patient through early detection and effective management of oral and maxillofacial diseases.
  • Support and Maintain academic excellence through evidence-based practice.
  • Promote research and develop graduates who are highly competent, ethical, socially responsible professionals.

The department is well equipped with practical halls, seminar rooms, museums, dental library, histopathology, and IHC laboratories. A wide range of modern equipment like research microscope with phase contrast, polarising, fluorescent microscopy and photography attachments are available for research purposes. Stereomicroscope and microscope for multi-viewing with a digital camera are also available for advanced postgraduate teaching. Moreover with-
