On February 5th, our group gathered at the airport at 2:30 p.m. Together, we proceeded to collect our boarding passes and clear security before boarding our flight at 6:08 a.m. The journey to Dubai was smooth, landing at 8:35 a.m.
After immigration procedures, a hotel pickup from the Hilton Garden Inn provided our keys, followed by a satisfying breakfast. After refreshing in our rooms, we embarked on an exhilarating desert safari. ATV biking and adrenaline-pumping activities were highlights, capturing the essence of an unforgettable experience.
The day continued with a visit to a desert camp, featuring Arabic-style dancing and a captivating fire performance. Dinner, accompanied by a mesmerizing belly dance, added to the enjoyment. The night concluded with an enjoyable camel ride.
In summary, the day was packed with thrilling activities and cultural performances, making it a memorable and enriching experience for the entire group.


On the first day of February 6, 2024, which was a Tuesday. After preparing, we proceeded to have breakfast at 8:00 a.m. Subsequently, we embarked on our journey to the Dubai World Trade Center for a conference. Our transportation to the venue was efficient, taking approximately 30 minutes from our hotel to the conference venue.

Upon arrival at the Dubai World Trade Center, we approached the help desk to inquire about the location of the lecture hall for our scheduled session. The initial lecture took place in Al Mutqua Hall and was facilitated by Dr. Sanjiv Nair. The focus of the lecture was “Oral Cancer and the Role of the General Dentist.” Dr. Nair commenced the session with an overview of benign and malignant lesions, elaborating on their characteristic features, including size, color, shape, texture, and margins. Furthermore, he delved into the etiologies and diagnostic methods, discussing specific radiographic procedures such as MRI and biopsy for achieving a definitive diagnosis. The lecture encompassed pre-treatment evaluation, clinical management, associated procedures, and risk factors related to the lesions. Dr. Nair’s presentation was highly informative, emphasizing the crucial role of general dentists in raising awareness about oral cancer in its early stages. Then we went to our faculty poster presentation site.
During our visit to the faculty poster presentation area, we engaged with faculty members from various universities, exchanging introductions and insights. Following this, a brief yet insightful session ensued, where we observed numerous informative posters and interacted with individuals presenting their research. Subsequently, we proceeded to our next lecture, which centered on the topic of “AI in Dental Research,” facilitated by Dr. Ahmed Salem Assari.

Dr. Assari provided a comprehensive overview of artificial intelligence (AI) and its application in dental research. He elucidated the definition of AI and introduced platforms where AI technologies can be accessed for optimal benefits. The lecture extensively covered the utilization of AI in dental research, encompassing literature review, systematic review, and meta-analysis methodologies. Dr. Assari underscored the ability of AI to enhance the quality of research reviews while acknowledging challenges such as data bias, interpretational rationality, and data handling.
Moreover, Dr. Assari concluded the session by emphasizing the importance of integrating AI capabilities into dental research endeavors and advocating for a holistic approach that combines dental expertise with AI capabilities. The lecture proved to be highly interactive, as Dr. Assari effectively engaged with the audience, enriching our understanding of utilizing AI tools in crafting research papers.
In summary, the session on AI in dental research conducted by Dr. Ahmed Salem Assari was both enlightening and engaging, providing valuable insights into the practical application of AI in the field of dentistry.

After the lecture, we went to our hotel. Upon concluding our day’s activities, we proceeded to the hotel to prepare for the main highlight of our itinerary: a visit to the world’s largest mall, Dubai Mall, and the world’s tallest building, the Burj Khalifa. Upon arrival, we were immediately captivated by the majestic architecture of the mall, which left us in awe.
Our first stop within the Dubai Mall was the world’s largest aquarium. The sight of the diverse array of beautiful fish and other water creatures was both fascinating and mesmerizing. The tour of the entire aquarium was an enriching experience, introducing us to new aquatic wonders.
Following our exploration of the aquarium, we eagerly attended the world-famous fountain show. The synchronized dance of water to music was a spectacle to behold, and we savored every moment of its beauty.
Subsequently, we ascended to the 124th floor of the Burj Khalifa. The panoramic view of Dubai from such great heights was breath-taking and provided us with an unparalleled perspective of the city’s beauty.
To conclude our evening, we dined against the backdrop of Dubai’s beautiful skyline. The combination of exquisite cuisine and stunning views made for a truly memorable dining experience.
Overall, our excursion to Dubai Mall and the Burj Khalifa was filled with awe-inspiring moments and unforgettable sights. We returned to our hotel with cherished memories of the mesmerizing experiences we encountered throughout the day.

 

Day 2 conference 7/feb/2024

The day started with the lectures at Sheik Makhtom Hall. The posters were also displayed in the hall, where we got opportunities to interact with other college and university students and faculties. After absorbing all the new aspects, look into the matter of dentistry, we went forward to the exhibition centre. Here, we had opportunities to do hands-on work and see live workshops. The main attraction of day 2 was hands-on zirconia crown preparation for pediatric dentistry. This was very informative and fun. During our visit to the Museum of the Future, we were immediately captivated by the brilliant and fascinating architecture of the building. The structure exuded a futuristic aura with its captivating glow upon entering. The experience was truly unforgettable, as the beauty of the place left a lasting impression on us. Our enjoyment was palpable throughout our time there, making it a memorable and enriching experience.

 

The next stop for us is Miracle Garden. The view was mesmerizing and captivating. The garden had all kinds of flowers and bushes shaped like animals like horses, elephants, and airplanes, which kept us all awestruck. It truly lived up to its name. Later, we went to the dolphin show, which unfortunately got cancelled on the spot, but we were already ready for our event, which was AYA University. It had many rooms filled with all the beautiful and dazzling lights of celestial bodies, which blew our minds. It was a very unique and healing journey. That show was unforgettable. Thus, this is how we ended the day with a nice Indian meal at a Punjabi dhaba and returned safely to the hotel room, getting all ready for day 3.

On the third day of the conference, dated February 8, 2024, our team arrived at the venue at 9:05 AM. Our focus was on engaging with Cowell Medi, a prominent Korean implant company situated in Hall 7. We commenced by introducing our college and engaging in a comprehensive discussion about their company and products. Cowell Medi elaborated on their range of implant kits, providing us with a detailed demonstration. Following our expression of interest, we were afforded a hands-on experience, guided step-by-step through specific procedures. They also shared insights on delivering post-operative instructions to implant patients.

Later in the day, we explored LSOCO’s cutting-edge microscope with 4K technology, receiving valuable tips on customization for optimal accessibility. Additionally, we had the opportunity to examine intraoral cameras, which feature a unique autofocus capability. Our interactions extended to the University of Manchester, where we connected with both students and faculty. The discussions encompassed various scholarship programs offered by both our respective institutions. This immersive experience provided us with valuable insights and networking opportunities for future collaborations

Following the conference, our team engaged in a visit to Blue Inland, where the prominent Dubai Eye stood as a captivating landmark. The azure waters beneath the sunny sky provided a picturesque backdrop. Subsequently, we relished a delightful lunch at Alici Restaurant, which proved to be an impeccable choice. Later, our journey led us to Palm Jumeirah, offering an enchanting view of the mesmerizing Atlantis building. The day culminated with a pickup for Marina-de Cruise, where a sumptuous dinner was served amidst a pleasant cruise experience. The evening was enhanced by the enjoyment of traditional dance performances. Overall, the day was marked by cultural and scenic delights, concluding with a return to our accommodations.

On February 9, 2024, the Novotel World Trade Centre Hotel in Dubai witnessed the culmination of the “How to Publish an ISI Article” conference, organized by Index Conferences and Exhibitors Organization LLC. Dr. Zuhair Saleh Natto, a distinguished expert from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, spearheaded the event, focusing on pivotal aspects of ISI article publication.

The day commenced with Dr. Natto delivering an enlightening lecture on the overview of ISI journals, delving into their historical context, impact factors, and criteria for successful submissions. Participants gained profound insights into the significance of contributing to ISI journals.

The conference seamlessly transitioned into strategies for generating impactful research ideas, with attendees actively engaging in hands-on activities guided by experienced facilitators. This fostered creativity and practical application among the participants.

Dr. Natto’s lecture on methodology in ISI journals covered crucial aspects, including Institutional Review Board (IRB) considerations, validation processes, and sample selection. This provided participants with practical insights into crafting methodologically robust articles.

The session on IMRAD structure tailored for ISI journals addressed nuances in structuring articles, highlighting common mistakes in manuscript writing to enhance the quality of submissions. A dedicated lecture guided participants in a systematic approach to selecting ISI journals, considering practical aspects, impact factors, and aligning research with journal scopes.

The conference featured interactive hands-on sessions, including idea generation, design selection, and practical journal selection exercises. Participants actively applied the acquired knowledge, fostering a dynamic and engaging learning environment.

Post-conference activities included a visit to Dubai Mall and a leisurely lunch, providing opportunities for networking and camaraderie. The evening’s cultural highlight was the La Perle Show, featuring mesmerizing performances of acrobatics, dance, and theatrical artistry, enriching the overall conference experience.

Following the cultural excursion, participants returned to the hotel to collect their belongings. A scheduled pick-up transported the delegation to the airport for the return journey to Delhi, concluding the conference. The Dubai conference not only provided a comprehensive understanding of ISI article publication but also offered a platform for practical application, networking, and cultural experiences, making it a holistic and enriching professional development opportunity for all participants. The delegation arrived at Delhi Airport at 6 a.m., marking the conclusion of a successful and memorable trip.
