The Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion organized two training sessions aimed at enhancing the proficiency of staff and ensuring compliance with quality standards in the Blood Centre. The training topics included "Know Your Equipment," held on August 22, and "Quality Policy, Mission and Vision, NABH Awareness," conducted on August 29. A total of 4 teachers, 10 non-teaching staff members, and 10 students participated in these sessions.

The first session, led by Dr. Amit Varma, focused on familiarizing participants with the equipment used in the Blood Centre. It included hands-on demonstrations and interactive discussions, allowing participants to operate the equipment under supervision and engage in troubleshooting exercises. The second session, facilitated by Dr. Mayurika Tyagi, emphasized the organization’s quality policy, mission, vision, and NABH accreditation standards. This session featured group discussions and Q&A segments, utilizing real-life examples and case studies to highlight the importance of quality standards in patient care.

Overall, the training sessions were well-received, achieving their objectives of boosting confidence in equipment handling and reinforcing a commitment to quality standards. The interactive format and practical learning approach fostered active engagement, ultimately enhancing efficiency, safety, and compliance within the Blood Centre.
