Overview

 

Established in 1996, the Department of Anatomy has become a cornerstone of medical education, initially offered 50 seats and now accommodating 150 students per batch. Our department features cutting-edge facilities, including a Digital Simulation Lab and a QR Coded Museum, enhancing the learning experience for our students.
We take pride in our state-of-the-art cadaveric lab, which houses 30 cadavers—one of the highest numbers in the Delhi NCR region. Additionally, our distinctive Plastination Laboratory provides unique opportunities for anatomical preservation and study.
Since 2019, we have successfully launched a postgraduate program, training 5 MD students from various states, while 28 PhD degrees have been awarded. Notably, 3 senior residents have been selected in the University’s PhD examination. Our innovative teaching and assessment methods adhere to CBME guidelines, ensuring our graduates are well-prepared for their careers. Our alumni have secured placements in prestigious government medical colleges, reflecting the department's strong reputation and commitment to excellence.

Course Outcomes

 

At the end of the course,the student should be able to:

CO1: Understand, Identify and dissect general and gros anatomy of human body along with co-relation and application of clinical anatomy.

CO2: Understand, Identify and draw the microscopic anatomy of various tissues and organs in human body along with co relation of structure with clinical condition.

CO3: Demonstrate the knowledge of general, systemic embryology and genetics and apply the same with co-relation of congenital anomalies.

CO4: Comprehend Neuroanatomy of human body along with clinical basis of various neurological disorders.

CO5: Understand surface marking, radiological anatomy including application and knowledge of imaging techniques like interpretation of radiogram, computerized tonography (CT) scan

CO6: Ability to demonstrate appropriate attitudes towards Cadaver.

CO 7: Ability to demonstrate sense of responsibility, respect for other individuals when working as team during practical's or any other group activity. Course Outcome
