Overview

 

Established in 2004, the Department of Ophthalmology is committed to excellence in eye care and education. Our department offers comprehensive training with 8 seats for M.S. Ophthalmology, 150 for MBBS, 10 for M. Optom, and 35 for B. Optom, catering to a diverse range of students. We take pride in being the first and only Eye Bank in Ghaziabad, emphasizing our dedication to advancing eye health and providing vital services to the community.

To date, we have successfully trained 60 students, equipping them with the skills necessary to excel in the field of ophthalmology. Our focus on innovative research and hands-on training ensures that our graduates are well-prepared to meet the challenges of modern eye care. With a commitment to patient welfare and educational excellence, the Department of Ophthalmology continues to be a leader in the region.

  2. To surgically and medically train the post graduate trainees and imbibe them in professional ethics, so they can excel in the field of Ophthalmology.
  3. To make trainees aware of research, so that they can conduct high impact research, generate innovative technology, be trained in publications in national and international conferences and provide patient care with reasonable skill and diligence.
  4. To understand better the eye care needs of the society, thus contributing to improve the eye care facility available for every individual and larger populations locally and globally through education, clinical practice and communication.

Course Outcomes

 

CO 1: Describe etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features and management of common eye problems in the community.

CO 2: Interpret and analyse the findings in clinical cases including which are of local, Regional & National Relevance.

CO 3: Obtain history, demonstrate visual acuity, ocular examination and management of common eye diseases .
