Inauguration of Santosh Incubation

INAUGURATION OF SANTOSH INCUBATION AND INNOVATION CENTRE.

Mapping the scope for investment and entrepreneurship opportunities in healthcare to increase the capacity of healthcare either by new models of service delivery or acquisition of new technologies and bearing that Entrepreneurship and Innovation is yet not a locus of academic institutions, Santosh Deemed to be University inaugurated the Santosh Start-up Forum: Innovation and Incubation centre. The event witnessed participation from more than 350 students, faculty and industry partners. The University partnered with veterans Wavemakers to incubate and commercialize the ideas of students and faculty from stages of pre-ideation and ideation to commercialization. The program started with words of wisdom by Dr Manoj Goyal, Chancellor, Santosh Deemed to be University followed by opening remarks by Dr Tripta Bhagat, Vice-chancellor, Santosh Deemed to be University. Following this Dean Research, Dr Jyoti Batra introduced Santosh Start-up Forum (SSF) to the audience and also introduced the constitution of Board of Directors of Santosh Start-up Forum, Dr Alka Aggarwal, Dean, Santosh Medical College and Hospital, Dr Akshay Bhargava, Dean, Santosh Dental College and Hospital and Dr Jyoti Batra, Dean Research. The chief guest Mrs Sunita Verma graced the occasion with her presence and shared her experience on medical devices and extended support to current and prospective incubates of SSF. The SDU welcomed other guests of honor including Dr Akash Malik and Dr Salaj Rana. The incubation partners in industry, Wavemakers role in entrepreneurship was explained by its board of directors including Mr Manoj Arora, Mr Gagan Ghai and Mr Abhimanyu Singh. This was followed by success stories of various start-ups including Aether Bio Medical, Organic Ledger, Tejas Readers Pvt Ltd, Nutrelis, Doree, Organic Icon and Mitti. The incubates of SSF also presented their ideas and business plan which included, Marvel tooth Brush, Dental Saturation, Psychegram, Kaagzi and Healthcare crypto. The awards for best innovation and entrepreneurship were bagged by Marvel toothbrush by Muskan Sachdeva and Afreen Ali; Psychegram by Priesha and Oraganic Icon by Bharat Anand. The event was concluded after felicitation with vote of thanks by Dr Neeti Mittal, Associate Professor, Santosh Deemed to be University.
