Santosh Deemed to be University successfully conducted a two-day Induction & Orientation Program for its newly joined first-year postgraduate students on 4th and 5th April 2025. With 99 PGs and 11 faculty members participating, the program aimed to lay a strong foundation in CBME (Competency-Based Medical Education), academic rigor, ethical practice, communication skills, and patient-centered care.

On 28th March 2025, the Department of Community Medicine, Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad organized a free health camp at Gharonda Orphanage, a Specialized Adoption Agency in Ghaziabad. Six postgraduate students participated in the camp, providing clinical examinations to 30 children. Common health conditions like diarrhea, rhinitis, URTI, worm infestations, and anemia were diagnosed and treated with free medications. Children were also screened for height, weight, and BMI, with five referred to the Pediatrics Department for further care. The orphanage staff was educated on hygiene, sanitation, and proper medication use. The camp aimed to promote child health through early diagnosis, treatment, and awareness.

On 28th February 2025, an educational visit was organized to the Hormonal Care Center as part of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The visit aimed to provide M.Sc. students with practical exposure to advanced techniques in diabetes management. Key learnings included the use of Doppler Vascular Technique for assessing blood flow and detecting vascular complications in diabetic patients, as well as the Vibration Technique for identifying early signs of diabetic neuropathy and preventing foot ulcers. The visit enhanced students' understanding of innovative diagnostic and therapeutic methods, bridging the gap between theory and clinical practice.

The Department of IHBT organized a Paramedical Development Program – Nurses Training Program on 27th March 2025 at the Demonstrator Room, Fifth Floor, Santosh Hospital. The session, titled "Blood Transfusion Protocols: Understanding of Blood Component Arrangements," was conducted by Dr. Amit Varma and Dr. Mayurika Tyagi. With 39 internal nurse participants and 2 faculty members, the training focused on the storage, handling, and management of blood components like RBCs, platelets, and plasma. The program enhanced participants’ practical knowledge and operational confidence, aiming to improve patient safety and optimize blood transfusion practices across departments.

The Department of Orthopaedics, Santosh Medical College & Hospital organized an outreach camp on 27th March 2025 at Ashram Gate, Chajarsi, Sector 63, Noida. The camp aimed to extend medical care to nearby communities, enhance student involvement in hands-on community healthcare, and promote overall health awareness. With strong participation from the local community, the camp successfully provided necessary treatments and supported health promotion efforts.

On 26th March 2025, the Department of Pharmacology at Santosh Medical College organized a Computer-Assisted Learning (CAL) session for MBBS 2nd-year students at the Pharmacology CAL Lab in Ghaziabad. The session focused on the effect of drugs on blood pressure, utilizing interactive simulations and case-based animal experiments to demonstrate the pharmacodynamics and pharmacokinetics of cardiovascular drugs. Faculty members, including Dr. Saborni Dey and Dr. Hariom Soni, guided students in observing real-time hemodynamic responses and graph creation. The session enhanced students' understanding of physiological mechanisms, with post-session feedback suggesting increased session duration and more case-based modules for improved comprehension. The Induction & Orientation Program for Interns was held from 25th to 26th March 2025 at the MEU, Santosh Medical College. The program, organized by the Medical Education Unit (MEU), aimed to introduce newly joined interns to the clinical environment, helping them adapt to challenges in medical practice. The session covered key areas such as regulatory norms, ethical and medico-legal issues, patient safety, and the importance of effective communication. Interns were also guided on diagnostic testing, rational prescriptions, and developing a personal growth plan for their professional journey. The program successfully equipped participants with essential knowledge and skills for their internship.

To mark World Tuberculosis (TB) Day on 24th March 2025, the Department of Pathology & IHBT at Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad, organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) program aimed at raising awareness and educating healthcare professionals on various aspects of TB management. The program focused on the latest guidelines for diagnosis and treatment, strategies for TB prevention and eradication, and the growing concern of drug-resistant TB.
The event began with a PG symposium featuring second-year postgraduate students from the Pathology and IHBT departments. The students delivered insightful presentations on key topics such as the types and pathophysiology of TB, morphological features, diagnostic approaches, and management strategies, including complications. This was followed by an interactive TB Quiz conducted for MBBS II-year students (Batch 2023–24), designed to test and reinforce their understanding of TB epidemiology, treatment protocols, and prevention measures.
The CME proved to be a valuable learning experience, fostering knowledge sharing and encouraging collaboration among medical students, faculty, and healthcare professionals. It successfully highlighted the urgent need for continuous education, early diagnosis, and a united effort in combating tuberculosis to improve public health outcomes.

On World TB Day (March 24, 2025), the Department of Respiratory Medicine & Radiodiagnosis organized an academic session to raise TB awareness among medical and allied health students. Experts including Dr. Shubhranshu, Dr. Mahendran, and Dr. Manish Kumar Sharma discussed early detection, treatment strategies, and the importance of combating drug-resistant TB and stigma. An interactive session led by Ms. Neelam and poster presentations by BSc Radiology students enriched the event, fostering interdisciplinary learning and collaboration in the fight against tuberculosis.

The Department of Pathology at Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad, organized a PG symposium and quiz on March 24, 2025, themed “Yes, We Can End TB: Commit, Invest, Deliver” to mark World TB Day. The event engaged MBBS (2023–24 batch) and postgraduate students, with active participation from faculty members. Aimed at promoting community engagement and advocating WHO TB elimination strategies, the program emphasized the importance of awareness, policy implementation, and collective action in the fight against tuberculosis.

The Department of IHBT conducted a Paramedical Development Program – Nurses Training Program on 24th March 2025 at the Demonstrator Room, First Floor, Santosh Hospital. Focused on the topic "Blood Transfusion Protocols: Understanding of Blood Component Arrangements," the session was led by Dr. Amit Varma and Dr. Mayurika Tyagi and attended by 23 newly inducted nurses along with 2 faculty members. The training provided essential knowledge on blood component types, storage protocols, and safety measures in transfusion practices. A medical camp was held on 22nd March 2025 in Crossing Republic, organized by the Department of Physiology. The camp offered free health consultations, check-ups, and health education to the local community. Services included blood pressure monitoring, BMI measurements, and general health advice. Health talks focused on disease prevention and healthy living. The camp successfully raised health awareness, with attendees expressing gratitude for the free medical support and requesting future camps. Positive feedback highlighted the importance of regular health check-ups and preventive care.

On 22nd March 2025, the Department of Biochemistry conducted a Value Added Course (VAC) session on “Orientation & Definition and Classification of Diabetes” at Maharaja Hall, organized by Dr. Poonam Agrawal. The program witnessed participation from 5 faculty members and 27 postgraduate students. The session aimed to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry demands by enhancing practical knowledge. It covered the basics of diabetes, its types, causes, and complications, with a focus on real-world relevance. Participants appreciated the interactive discussions, and the session successfully provided an engaging learning experience that reinforced understanding of a key global health issue.

The Department of Physiology, in collaboration with the Department of General Medicine, organized a successful Early Clinical Exposure (ECE) program for first-year MBBS students on 21st and 22nd February 2025 at the General Medicine Ward, Santosh Medical College and Hospital, Ghaziabad. Supervised by a dedicated faculty team, the session aimed to bridge theoretical knowledge with clinical practice through case-based learning. Students explored real-life cases such as anaemia, chronic liver disease, cerebral palsy, stroke, tuberculosis, and acute febrile illness. The program emphasized patient interaction, clinical correlation with physiology, and bedside learning. Students gained valuable exposure, improved communication skills, and appreciated the clinical relevance of their academic studies—receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback.

On 22nd March 2025, the Department of Biochemistry at Santosh Medical College organized the "Biochem Brainstorm Quiz" under the theme "Engaging Minds, Enhancing Learning Through Competition" at Maharaja Hall. Led by Dr. Poonam Agrawal and her team, the event saw enthusiastic participation from 114 MBBS students. The multi-round quiz featured MCQs via Google Forms, a Mentimeter-based live quiz, and a picture clue challenge, promoting active learning, critical thinking, and subject engagement. Winners included Uzair Rehman (1st), Devesh Sharma (2nd), and Arnav Maheshwari (3rd). Students praised the event’s innovative approach and requested similar interactive sessions in the future.

The Department of IHBT organized a Technician Training on HIC and Hand Hygiene on 21st March 2025 at the Blood Centre, Santosh Hospital, Ghaziabad. Led by Dr. Amit Varma, the session focused on raising awareness about Healthcare-Associated Infections (HIC) and the critical role of hand hygiene in infection prevention. Attended by 1 faculty member, 6 students, and 9 non-teaching staff, the training included interactive discussions, WHO's 5 Moments of Hand Hygiene, and practical demonstrations. The program successfully enhanced participants’ understanding and reinforced best practices in infection control, contributing to a safer healthcare environment.

The Department of Pediatrics at Santosh Hospital organized an event to Celebrate Down Syndrome Day on 21st March 2025 in the Demo Room (1st Floor). The program saw participation from 4 faculty members and 25 students. The aim was to raise awareness about Down Syndrome, highlight the significance of early diagnosis, and promote early intervention for better developmental outcomes. The session featured informative presentations, case studies, and real-life examples. Positive feedback was received, and a follow-up workshop focusing on advanced care strategies and social inclusion is planned for the near future.

The Department of Pediatrics, Santosh Hospital, conducted a Talk on Care of Preterm Neonates on 21st March 2025 in the Demo Room (1st Floor). With 4 faculty members and 12 students in attendance, the session focused on the critical role of nutrition in preterm infant care. Key topics included early feeding strategies, breast milk fortification, and managing feeding intolerance. Case studies offered practical learning. Participants praised the session for its clarity and relevance. A follow-up workshop on advanced neonatal nutrition is planned to further strengthen neonatal care practices.

On 21st March 2025, Santosh Hospital, Ghaziabad organized an Outreach Health Camp at Bhojpur Pat, focusing on child health and community wellness. The camp saw active participation from postgraduates and interns from the Departments of Paediatrics, Medicine, Ophthalmology, and Dental. Basic health checkups, immunization and nutrition counseling, and free medicines were provided to children. Dr. Hare Krishna (Paediatrics) and intern Ambesh Kumar led the pediatric team. The event helped identify key health concerns in children and offered guidance to caregivers, ensuring follow-up at Santosh Hospital for further care.

To commemorate World Oral Health Day 2025, Santosh Dental College and Hospital organized a series of impactful outreach programs from March 20 to 31 across Ghaziabad. These included free dental check-ups, oral health education, and hygiene product distribution at schools, colleges, and community centers. Events at locations like Salam Balak Trust, Anganwadi School, MMH College, St. Thomas School, and Stairs International School reached 462 individuals, promoting awareness on proper brushing techniques, tobacco cessation, and preventive dental care. The initiative emphasized that oral health is vital to overall well-being, inspiring communities to adopt healthier habits

An online PG teaching session on the topic "Role of Insulin in Carbohydrate Metabolism" was conducted on 20th March 2025 via Zoom, organized by Dr. Poonam Agrawal. The session saw participation from 11 attendees, including 4 faculty members and 7 postgraduate students. The objective was to deepen the understanding of insulin’s biochemical functions and its role in metabolic disorders like diabetes. The class encouraged interactive learning through case discussions and was well-received by participants. Plans are in place to continue such sessions to further enrich postgraduate education.

The Training Programme for PG on Blood Transfusion Protocols was held on 20th March 2025 at the Blood Centre, Department of IHBT, Santosh Hospital. The session aimed to educate postgraduate students from Pulmonary Medicine and Pediatrics on the critical aspects of blood transfusion protocols, focusing on the handling, storage, and arrangement of blood components. Key topics included pre-transfusion testing, cross-matching, transfusion reactions, and recent advancements in transfusion medicine. The session was interactive, with Q&A discussions, and emphasized patient safety and efficient healthcare delivery. Feedback from participants was positive, highlighting the program's practical value for clinical training and improving transfusion procedures.

On 13th March 2025, the Respiratory Medicine Department of Santosh Medical College and Hospital celebrated Holi with faculty, postgraduate students, interns, and support staff. The celebration, organized by Dr. Manish, Dr. Mahendran, and Dr. Eshutosh, included a small gathering where the staff received blessings, creating a joyful atmosphere. The event featured sharing sweets, a lunch for all staff, and colorful celebrations with rangoli and gulal post-lunch. This festive occasion helped uplift the spirits of the department's team, fostering a sense of community and camaraderie.

On March 11, 2025, the Department of Ophthalmology, Santosh Deemed to be University, hosted a felicitation ceremony to honor the PG and Optometry students who actively participated in Netrakumbh 2025, a dedicated eye camp held at Mahakumbh, Prayagraj. The event, graced by esteemed dignitaries, provided a platform for students to share their experiences, learnings, and challenges from the camp. The Department of Biochemistry conducted a Jigsaw-themed interactive learning session on “Disorders of Amino Acid Metabolism” on 11th and 12th March 2025 at Maharaja Hall, organized by Dr. Eram and Dr. Astha. A total of 58 and 55 MBBS students attended on the respective days, along with 6 faculty members. The session aimed to enhance collaboration, critical thinking, and communication skills through peer-led learning. Students explored various inherited metabolic disorders caused by enzyme deficiencies affecting amino acid metabolism. The class was highly appreciated for its interactive format, leading to better retention, active engagement, and deeper understanding of complex biochemical concepts.

The Department of Physiology organized a World Obesity Day event on March 9, 2025, at Maharaja Hall to raise awareness about obesity, its causes, and prevention. Coordinated by Ms. Deepika and anchored by Pari (BDS 1st year), the session featured engaging peer teaching by students and insightful discussions. Dr. Manisha, HOD of Physiology, delivered the vote of thanks, highlighting the importance of continued awareness and healthy lifestyle choices. On 8th March 2025, the Department of Forensic Science and Forensic Medicine & Toxicology organized a guest lecture on the theme "Forensic Ballistic: Uncovering Hidden Clues Behind Every Shot" at LT-4. The session, attended by 123 MBBS students and 6 faculty members, provided valuable insights into the principles and applications of forensic ballistics. The lecture covered advancements in ballistic technology and methods for identifying firearms and linking bullets to weapons. The program significantly enhanced participants' understanding of ballistics, fostering a deeper knowledge of this critical area in forensic science. Future activities are planned to further explore the subject.

On March 7, 2025, Santosh Dental College and Hospital celebrated National Dentist’s Day with a special outreach program at Dhara Singh High School, Ghaziabad. The theme was Celebrating Our Smile Guardians. Organized by the Department of Public Health Dentistry, the event aimed to spread awareness about oral health and provide free dental check-ups. An oral health awareness pamphlet was released by Dr. Natasha Gambhir, Dr. Meena Jain, Dr. Atul Prashar and the teachers of the school
A total of 178 individuals underwent dental screenings and consultations. Postgraduate students and interns actively engaged in educating participants on proper toothbrushing techniques and oral hygiene practices. This initiative highlighted the college’s commitment to community service and preventive dentistry, reinforcing the importance of maintaining good oral health. The event successfully fostered awareness and enthusiasm among students and staff, making it a meaningful celebration of the profession. Santosh University continues to empower communities with quality dental care and education, ensuring a brighter and healthier future for all.

The Department of IHBT organized a Technician Training on Sample Collection and Transportation on 7th March 2025 at the Blood Centre, Santosh Hospital, Ghaziabad. Led by Dr. Mayurika Tyagi, the session aimed to educate medical technicians and staff on maintaining sample integrity through proper collection, handling, and transportation techniques. With participation from 2 faculty, 6 students, and 9 non-teaching staff, the interactive session covered SOPs, contamination prevention, storage requirements, and documentation practices. The training concluded with a Q&A segment and was well-received, enhancing participants' practical skills for accurate diagnostics and patient safety

The Department of Psychiatry at Santosh Deemed to be University, Ghaziabad organized a CME on “Newer Drugs Used in Bipolar Depression” on 7th March 2025 at the 1st Floor Seminar Room, Santosh Hospital. The session was chaired by Dr. A.K. Seth (Prof. & HOD, Psychiatry) and organized by Dr. Saloni (Assistant Professor) with a presentation by Dr. Aishwarya Mittal (JR2). The CME highlighted emerging pharmacological advancements in managing bipolar depression, with a special focus on Lumateperone, an atypical antipsychotic showing promising efficacy and safety. The event was attended by faculty and junior resident doctors, fostering knowledge exchange and clinical awareness on innovative treatment strategies.

On 7th March 2025, Santosh Hospital, Ghaziabad organized an Outreach Health Camp at Abupur, Uttar Pradesh, with participation from the Departments of Paediatrics, Medicine, ENT, and Ophthalmology. The camp catered to around 50 children, offering free medical checkups, immunization and nutrition counseling, along with medicine distribution. Dr. Rahul Daral, a senior postgraduate from Paediatrics, led the pediatric team. The camp successfully identified health concerns among children and guided caregivers for further care at Santosh Hospital. The initiative concluded at 2 PM, strengthening community health outreach efforts.

On March 4, 2025, the Department of Community Medicine, Santosh Medical College, organized a World Obesity Day awareness camp at Composite Vidyalaya, Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad. With the theme focused on combating the global obesity epidemic, interns delivered insightful monologues on obesity's causes, complications, and prevention under the guidance of postgraduate students. The event included an interactive Q&A session and concluded with students pledging to adopt a healthier lifestyle. The program was well-coordinated by MSW and nursing staff, promoting awareness and action towards a healthier future.

On 3rd March 2025, the Emergency Department of Santosh Hospital organized a hands-on training session on Cervical Collar Application in Trauma Patients. Conducted by Dr. Natasha Dhingra and supervised by Dr. Sakshi Yadav, the session was aimed at enhancing the clinical skills of 1st-year postgraduates and ER/ICU/Triage nursing staff. Participants received practical training on cervical collar selection, positioning, and application, along with discussions on spinal precautions and real-life trauma scenarios. The interactive session significantly improved the participants' confidence and competence in managing cervical spine injuries, reinforcing the hospital’s commitment to advanced trauma care.

On February 28, 2025, Santosh Medical College & Hospital, in collaboration with the Department of Biochemistry and the Delhi Diabetic Forum, conducted a comprehensive screening camp for diabetes, nephropathy, liver disease, and cardiovascular risk. With free diagnostic tests and consultations, the camp identified critical health concerns, including obesity (30%), hypertension (30%), diabetes (15%), and high cardiovascular risk (8%). The event highlighted the importance of early detection and lifestyle interventions in preventing chronic diseases. By focusing on proactive healthcare, regular monitoring, and multidisciplinary care, such initiatives help reduce disease burden and promote long-term well-being.

The Department of Pathology organized a Poster Presentation & Talk on Cancer Awareness on February 28, 2025, at the Demonstration Room, Pathology Department. With participation from faculty members and 40-50 students, the session aimed to educate attendees on cancer types, early detection, treatment advancements, and biomarkers. Engaging presentations and posters provided insights into the latest developments in oncology. The program successfully enhanced awareness, promoted early diagnosis, and encouraged proactive community involvement in cancer prevention. The session fostered meaningful discussions, emphasizing the importance of early intervention and research in improving patient outcomes.

On February 27, 2025, Santosh Medical College & Hospital, in collaboration with the Delhi Diabetic Forum, conducted a vital health screening camp to detect diabetes, neuropathy, bone disorders, and thyroid issues. The initiative aimed to identify these conditions early and raise awareness about preventive healthcare. With 80 participants screened, 50% were found to have diabetes, 25% had neuropathy, 18.75% had bone health issues, and 6.25% had thyroid concerns. The findings emphasized the need for regular screenings, lifestyle modifications, and multidisciplinary care. The camp underscored the importance of proactive health management to prevent long-term complications.

On February 25, 2025, the Medical Education Unit (MEU) of Santosh Medical College organized a workshop on Blueprinting & Question Paper Development as per the new GMER 2024 guidelines. With participation from 44 faculty members, the session aimed to familiarize educators with assessment changes, blueprinting concepts, and the integration of AETCOM elements in short-answer questions. Faculty engaged in interactive discussions, developed system-weighted blueprints, and practiced crafting reasoning-based questions. The workshop successfully enhanced faculty competency in structured question paper design, ensuring a fair and comprehensive assessment framework for medical students. Future sessions are planned for continued refinement.

The Oral & Maxillofacial Pathology and Oral Microbiology Department at Santosh Dental College & Hospitals, Ghaziabad successfully celebrated National Oral Pathologists Day on 24th February 2025.

On January 29, 2025, from 2 PM to 4 PM, Dr. Saborni Dey, Professor & Head of the Pharmacology Department, along with postgraduate students, conducted a Computer-Assisted Learning (CAL) session for the MBBS 2023-24 batch. The session focused on demonstrating the effects of vasopressors, vasodepressors, and blockers on blood pressure using simulated animal models. This module provides an ethical and effective way for students to study drug effects without harming animals. More classes on this topic are planned in the coming months.

A workshop on AI tools to aid research was conducted on 28th January 2025 at 2 PM in LT, 2nd Floor, Hospital, by Dr. R. Jaganmohan. The session focused on utilizing AI applications to enhance the research process. Dr. Jaganmohan introduced the app Consensus, which assists researchers in selecting thesis topics by providing a range of relevant studies and papers. Additionally, he demonstrated the use of ResearchClick and ResearchRabbitApp, which help in discovering research topics and related literature.
He also elaborated on the principles of using AI tools effectively by crafting precise prompts to obtain optimal information. As part of the session, he introduced 40 Mini and provided a step-by-step explanation of structuring and writing a research chapter with relevant examples, offering valuable insights for students and researchers.

A group of 10 B.Sc. BAOTT students visited the British Council Library, New Delhi, on January 27, 2025, at 10:30 AM. Mr. Stephen, the library manager, guided them through various sections and demonstrated the use of digital resources. Following the guidelines, students accessed medical books and spent about two hours in the library. They borrowed four books on clinical biochemistry, anesthesia, and anatomy.

On December 9, 2024, the Department of IHBT organized an IH 500 workshop at Santosh Blood Centre, Ghaziabad (Delhi NCR), attended by 10 students, 10 non-teaching staff, and 4 faculty members. Led by Mr. Gaurav Sharma, an expert trainer from BIORAD, the session aimed to familiarize participants with the IH 500 machine’s functions, provide hands-on training, and highlight its innovations. The workshop included an introduction to the machine, a live demonstration of its operations, and an interactive Q&A session. Participants provided positive feedback, appreciating the clarity and relevance of the training, which significantly enhanced their understanding of the IH 500.

On 6th December 2024, the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion (IHBT) and Pathology at Santosh Medical College and Hospital, Ghaziabad, organized an impactful awareness program to commemorate World AIDS Day. The event was held at Santosh Hospital, Ghaziabad, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, with participation from five teachers and 25 students.

On 28th November 2024, a free health camp was organized by the Department of Community Medicine at Santosh Medical College in collaboration with the Department of Paediatrics and Gharonda Orphanage, Ghaziabad. A total of 40 children were screened by postgraduate students, with assessments including height, weight, BMI, and measurements of head, chest, and arm circumferences. The children were diagnosed with conditions such as rhinitis, URTI, and nutritional deficiencies, and were provided with free medications like Paracetamol syrup, cough syrup, and multivitamins. Caretakers were educated on proper medication usage, and the children were encouraged to adopt healthy eating habits and regular health checkups.

On November 18, 2024, nine BSc Clinical Nutrition and Dietetics students visited the British Council Library, New Delhi, accompanied by faculty. On World Diabetes Day, a Diabetic Awareness Camp was organized on 16th November 2024 at J-Block Park, Pratap Vihar, Ghaziabad. Hosted by the Department of Clinical Nutrition & Dietetics under General Medicine at Santosh Medical College and Hospital, the camp aimed to raise awareness about diabetes prevention, management, and early detection. On August 29, 2024, the Santosh Innovation Council, led by Dr. Mahendran C.S., visited the Medical Incubation Unit at GIMS Noida from 10 AM to 5 PM. Our team was warmly welcomed by Dr. Rahul Amritraj, who provided an insightful introduction to the incubation cell and its infrastructure. One of the highlights of the visit was interacting with the "Matri" team, known from Shark Tank for their innovative menstrual pain-relieving device, dubbed "Pad Man 2.0." Founders Roni and Rohan shared their inspiring journey, detailing their transition from selling electric bulbs in West Bengal to making significant strides in medical devices showcased on national television.
Following this, we explored an ongoing project at POCCET LABS led by Dr. Abhinav Gupta, who emphasized the importance of internship programs in fostering innovation. Our discussions continued with Dushyant Singh Chauhan, CEO of Health Travo, focusing on the latest advancements in medical innovation. The visit culminated with a meeting with Dr. Saurabh Srivastava, Director of GIMS Noida, who encouraged further collaboration between our institutions.
Key discussions highlighted the importance of collaboration in driving innovation, suggesting that startups, being dynamic and agile, benefit from collective growth. The feasibility of a hub-and-spoke model linking GIMS Noida with Santosh Medical College was proposed, with the possibility of signing a memorandum of understanding.

The 39th Eye Donation Fortnight was observed at Santosh Hospital, Ghaziabad, from 25th August to 8th September 2024, under the guidance of Dr. Sarita Aggarwal, Head of the Ophthalmology Department. The event saw the participation of 10 teachers and 54 students and aimed to raise awareness about the importance of eye donation. Activities included lectures, street plays (Nukkad Natak), slogan and poster competitions, community outreach camps, and wet lab sessions for postgraduate students. The event concluded with speeches from prominent hospital members, highlighting the significance of eye donation. The fortnight was a resounding success, inspiring the community to support this noble cause.

On August 23rd and 24th, 2024, an offline training workshop on SPSS Software was conducted at Maharaja Hall, LT-1 & LT-4 of Santosh Deemed to be University. Organized by the Central Research Facility in collaboration with the Department of Community Medicine, the workshop focused on Biostatistics and Epidemiology in Health Research, providing participants with hands-on experience using the statistical software. The event commenced with an inaugural address by the organizing chairperson, Prof. Dr. Jyoti Batra, Dean of Research, along with Dr. Sivasensan D., Deputy Dean of Research, and Organizing Secretary Mr. Vikash Singh Patel, Assistant Professor and Biostatistician.
A total of 58 participants, including faculty members, PhD scholars, and postgraduate students, registered for the workshop, which awarded 6 credit points from the Uttar Pradesh Medical Council (UPMC). Dr. Rakesh Kumar Saroj led the first session, explaining the significance of framing research questions and objectives. Following this, Prof. Deepika Agarwal emphasized the importance of study design in research, while Dr. Anupama Singh discussed sampling techniques and sample size determination.
On the second day, Dr. Rakesh Kumar Saroj conducted all sessions, focusing on the basic functionalities of SPSS. He taught participants how to enter data, use recode and compute commands, summarize data, assess normality, create graphs, and perform statistical tests such as independent and paired t-tests, as well as correlation analyses. The interactive nature of the workshop encouraged active participation from all attendees, making it a highly engaging experience.
The workshop concluded with a feedback session followed by a valedictory function, where Prof. Jyoti Batra addressed the participants. A total of 4 teachers, 10 non-teaching staff members, and 10 students participated in these sessions.
The first session, led by Dr. Amit Varma, focused on familiarizing participants with the equipment used in the Blood Centre. It included hands-on demonstrations and interactive discussions, allowing participants to operate the equipment under supervision and engage in troubleshooting exercises. The second session, facilitated by Dr. Mayurika Tyagi, emphasized the organization’s quality policy, mission, vision, and NABH accreditation standards. This session featured group discussions and Q&A segments, utilizing real-life examples and case studies to highlight the importance of quality standards in patient care.
Overall, the training sessions were well-received, achieving their objectives of boosting confidence in equipment handling and reinforcing a commitment to quality standards. The interactive format and practical learning approach fostered active engagement, ultimately enhancing efficiency, safety, and compliance within the Blood Centre.

Dr. Mayurika S. Tyagi, Professor and Head of the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion (IHBT), participated in the Advanced Course in Medical Education (ACME) held at Maulana Azad Medical College (MAMC) in New Delhi from August 21 to August 25, 2024. This five-day faculty development program, organized by the Medical Education Unit (MEU), aimed to enhance the teaching and educational skills of medical faculty members.
The ACME is designed to equip educators with effective pedagogical techniques and strategies. Dr. Tyagi attended alongside Dr. Shikha Pawaiya from the Department of Ophthalmology, representing our institution. The program covered essential topics in medical education, including curriculum design, assessment methods, teaching methodologies, and student evaluation.
The skills and knowledge gained from this workshop are expected to significantly enhance teaching and learning within the department, contributing to the overall improvement of medical education at our institution.

The Dermato-Pathological Case meet was organized by the Departments of Pathology and Dermatology on 16th August 2024, in the Seminar Room of the Department of Dermatology at Santosh Hospital. The event provided a platform for knowledge sharing, fostering meaningful dialogue, and collaboration among participants, with 5 teachers and 18 students actively engaged. Under the guidance of Dr. V.K. Garg, Professor and Head of Dermatology, and Dr. Adreena Mittal, Professor and Head of Pathology, postgraduate students presented clinical and pathological cases. The clinical case was presented by Dr. Amrit and Dr. Sania from the Department of Dermatology, while the pathological case was presented by Dr. Purvashi Patel and Dr. Srishti from the Department of Pathology. Overall, the event proved to be highly beneficial and efficacious for the postgraduate students and faculty, enhancing their collective expertise in dermatopathology.

On the occasion of World Organ Donation Day, the Department of Nephrology in collaboration with Department of Medicine conducted various activities on 13th August 2024. The program was aimed at increasing awareness among teachers, students and other staff members about the organ donation and its importance in everyone’s life. The program was attended by the Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor, Dean of Medical College, Medical Director, Dean of Dental College, Medical Superintendent, Dean Academics, Dean Research and around 200 delegates comprising of teachers, students and other staff members. The program included detailed scientific sessions which enlightened us with the knowledge of brain death, importance of organ donation and saving lives of people awaiting organ transplantation. The department also conducted poster presentation competition by students in which approximately 32 students participated. Among the participants, three posters were adjudged among the best and ware awarded. Dr. Kalra thanked the management and administrative staff of the university for providing financial and logistic support. The program was followed by high tea.

The “Voluntary Blood Donation Week” was held from 13th to 17th August 2024 at the Blood Centre of the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion, Santosh Medical College Hospital, to commemorate Independence Day. This noble initiative aimed to raise awareness about the importance of voluntary blood donation within the community. The primary objectives of the blood donation camp included raising awareness about the significance of voluntary blood donation and its life-saving impact, as well as encouraging community participation in altruistic activities and fostering a sense of social responsibility.
The camp featured several engaging activities, starting with the registration process, where donors provided essential details such as name, age, contact information, and medical history. A team of qualified medical professionals, including Dr. Anshul Chaturvedi, Dr. Arun Tintoo, and Dr. Sehrish Chaudhary, conducted thorough medical screenings to assess donor eligibility, checking vital signs, hemoglobin levels, and medical history to ensure safety for both donors and recipients. Eligible donors then proceeded to the blood donation area, where trained phlebotomists collected blood using sterile techniques and disposable equipment. After donation, refreshments and snacks were provided to help replenish energy and prevent any discomfort.
Overall, the blood donation camp was a resounding success, thanks to the collective efforts of volunteers, healthcare professionals, and donors.

On August 12, 2024, the Central Library and IQAC jointly organized a National Librarian’s Day celebration along with a workshop on British Council Digital Library Resources and Services, themed “Empowering the Next Generation: Enhancing Youth Engagement through Libraries.” The event took place at Lecture Theatre 4 and began at 2 PM.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Mr. P. Ramu, Chief Librarian, and was chaired by Akshaya Bhargava, Dean of Dental, and Dr. Shalabh Gupta, Dean of Academics. Mr. Ramu introduced the Chief Guest, Ms. Saini Anupama, Manager of the Library at the British Council, New Delhi. Ms. Anupama delivered an inspirational lecture on enhancing youth engagement through libraries, raising awareness about digital library resources, services, pedagogy, applicable guidelines, and e-learning practices available on the British Council portal.

AAROGYAM 2024, organized by the Central Research Facility and the Student Welfare Section of Santosh Deemed to be University, is an annual event featuring a pre-conference hands-on workshop on molecular techniques and bioinformatics tools.
The conference was inaugurated by Hon'ble Chancellor Professor Dr. Y.M. Jayaraj, along with Pro-Chancellor Dr. Manoj Goyal, Vice-Chancellor Dr. Tripta S. Bhagat, and other distinguished guests including Dean of Medical College Dr. Alka Agrawal and Dean of Dental College Dr. Akshay Bhargava.
The Dean of Research, Dr. Jyoti Batra, introduced the workshop's resource persons: Indresh Kumar Singh from AIIMS, New Delhi, and Dr. Ajit Kumar from MDU, Rohtak. A total of 55 professionals and students registered for the pre-conference workshop, which was highly interactive and engaging.
On the second day, scientific sessions commenced with a keynote address by Dr. Ashoo Grover, Scientist 'F' at ICMR, on "How to Write Successful Extramural Government Projects." This was followed by invited lectures from esteemed experts, including Dr. Shirshendu Mukherjee, Mission Director of Ind-CEPI BIRAC, who discussed funding opportunities in the healthcare ecosystem, and Dr. Salaj Rana, who addressed policy implications of research in health.
The conference featured oral and poster presentations for undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD scholars, evaluated by expert panels, with awards given to outstanding participants.
On the third day, invited lectures included Dr. Priyanka Kapoor from Jamia Millia Islamia, who spoke on the "Gatekeepers of Publishing Scientific Literature," and Dr. Dheeraj Shah, Director of the National Institute of Mental Health and Family Welfare, who discussed "National Research Priorities in Child Health." Additional sessions covered topics such as medical college roles in med-tech innovation, writing discussions, and the role of investigators in clinical trials.
The event concluded with a talent hunt featuring seven oral presentations, judged by a panel of experts. The valedictory function included addresses from Dr. Rajiv Ahluwalia, Dean of Student Welfare, who honored winners and organizing teams, followed by a vote of thanks from organizing secretaries Dr. Raj Narayan Gupta and Dr. Sivanesan Dhandayuthapani.

On August 9, 2024, the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion successfully conducted an in-house voluntary blood donation camp at the Blood Centre, Santosh Hospital, Ghaziabad. This initiative aimed to encourage voluntary blood donation among employees, addressing the critical need for blood in local hospitals and emergency services while reinforcing our commitment to community welfare and health.
The event commenced at 9:00 AM and concluded at 4:00 PM. It included various activities such as registration, medical screening, blood donation, and post-donation refreshments. Upon arrival, donors were greeted and registered, providing basic information and consent to participate. A brief medical screening was conducted by professional staff to ensure donor eligibility and safety. The blood donation process was smooth and overseen by trained medical personnel, ensuring both safety and comfort for all participants. After donating, individuals were provided with refreshments and given guidance on post-donation care, including a brief wellness check.

The national-level conference titled “Neonatal Hemodynamics: Enhancing ECHO & Ultrasound Skills - Workshop and CME” was successfully conducted on August 4, 2024, at the Lecture Hall on the 2nd Floor of Santosh Medical College & Hospital in Ghaziabad (Delhi NCR). Organized by the Department of Paediatrics, the event attracted 15 participating teachers and 35 students, fostering a vibrant exchange of knowledge and expertise in the field of neonatal hemodynamics.
The conference included several sessions chaired and conducted by prominent doctors specializing in neonatal care, covering a wide range of topics such as advances in neonatal hemodynamics, interpretation of ECHO in neonates, and practical applications of ultrasound in neonatal intensive care. Renowned experts in the field provided valuable insights and up-to-date information on the latest advancements and best practices. After lunch, participants were divided into small groups for hands-on workshops, designed to provide practical experience and enhance their skills in using ECHO and ultrasound equipment. Each group was guided by experienced professionals who ensured personalized attention and instruction for every participant.
The conference witnessed enthusiastic participation from both speakers and delegates, creating a dynamic and interactive learning environment. The diverse group of attendees, ranging from seasoned practitioners to emerging professionals, contributed to the richness of discussions and learning opportunities.

Department of General Surgery organized an Academic CME on “Chronic Liver Disease” on 22nd July-2024 from 1pm to 2pm in LT-2, Hospital, Ghaziabad. It was attended by 45 Faculty Member, Post-Graduates & Interns. Event was organized by Dr Yogendra Kumar, HOD Surgery & the speaker of this CME was Dr Shalabh Gupta, Dean Academics. Session was interactive and everyone learned various aspects of Liver Chronic Disease.

On 18th July 2024, Dr. Jagan Mohan led a comprehensive workshop on "Research using AI" aimed at enhancing research capabilities through advanced AI tools. Sixty-six faculty members attended the two-hour session, which covered the role of AI in modern research. The workshop introduced key AI tools such as Consensus, Scite, Research Rabbit, and Semantic Scholar, explaining their applications in literature reviews, citation analysis, and research visualization. Participants received hands-on demonstrations and practical guidance on incorporating these tools into their workflows. The session concluded with a Q&A and plans for future workshops to explore AI’s evolving role in research.

The Department of General Surgery at Santosh Deemed to be University organized an academic CME on "Air Pollution & Climate Crisis" on July 16, 2024, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM. The event, held in LT-4, University Block, was attended by 130 faculty members, postgraduates, and undergraduate students. Organized by Dr. Shalabh Gupta, Dean Academics, and Professor of Surgery, the CME featured Dr. Arvind Kumar, a renowned robotic surgeon from Medanta Hospital and a representative of the Lung Care Foundation. Dr. Kumar highlighted the crucial role of medical professionals in addressing air pollution and climate change, emphasizing the need for action through the "Doctors for Clean Air & Climate Action" initiative.

The "Clinical Integration of Metabolic Pathways" seminar was designed to help MBBS 1st-year students understand the practical application of biochemistry in clinical settings. Beginning with a pre-test to assess baseline knowledge, the event featured a lecture by Dr. Poonam Agrawal, highlighting the importance of metabolic pathways in diagnosing and treating medical conditions. Students engaged in discussions and participated in a post-test to evaluate their learning. A perception analysis gathered feedback, showing positive responses and the seminar's effectiveness. The event successfully bridged theory with practice, enhancing students' comprehension of biochemistry in real-world medical scenarios.

Summary of Program Conducted within a week along with details of The VITEK 2 system is an advanced automated SYSTEM the identification and antimicrobial susceptibility testing of bacteria and fungi. The training on the VITEK 2 system provided participants with comprehensive knowledge about the various components of the machine and its regular maintenance. Learn the process of sample preparation, loading, and analysis. Understanding the principles of microbial identification using biochemical reactions and fluorescence and Interpretation of antimicrobial susceptibility results, including MIC values and resistance/susceptibility classifications. By the end of the training, participants demonstrated competence in system operation, accurate result interpretation, adherence to quality control procedures, and effective troubleshooting of technical issues.

On July 1, 2024, the Department of Forensic Medicine celebrated National Doctor’s Day in honor of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy, a legendary Indian physician. Led by Dr. Ashok Sagar, Professor and Head of the Department, the event highlighted Dr. Roy’s impactful contributions to Indian healthcare. The gathering served as a moment of inspiration, reaffirming the department’s commitment to medical excellence, ethical practice, and the enduring values that guide the field of forensic medicine

The Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized an online workshop titled “Santosh Commonwealth Institution Workshop on Advanced E-Learning” on June 28, 2024, for faculty members. Led by Dr. Jagan Mohan R., the session focused on creating effective e-learning modules, covering assessment methods, sub-headings, and quizzes for students. Faculty members presented their module designs, demonstrating strategies to identify slow and advanced learners through assignments. The workshop, attended by 55 faculty members from the Medical and Dental College, highlighted the advantages of using Canvas to build a sustainable learning environment. More workshops are planned to support ongoing professional development.

The meeting held on 5th June 2024 at Santosh Dental College's Central Research Facility focused on securing sponsorship from SNIBE for the Aarogyam-2024 conference. Attendees included Dr. Jyoti Batra, Dean of Research and Conference Chair, Dr. Raj Narayan Gupta, Associate Professor of Biochemistry, Mr. Ajay Kumar Gupta from SNIBE Diagnostics, and Ms. Kirti Bharadwaj, the meeting coordinator. Dr. Batra introduced the significance of the conference, while Dr. Gupta detailed sponsorship opportunities for SNIBE. Mr. Ajay Kumar Gupta expressed interest and requested an official proposal. The meeting concluded with an invitation to further discuss the partnership at SNIBE's upcoming symposium.

On June 5, 2024, the Department of Community Medicine, Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad, organized an awareness and educational program under the Santosh Swacch Pey Jal Yojana to mark World Environment Day. The event was held at the Composite School in Sainthali, Ghaziabad, and was coordinated by Gram Pradhan Mr. Amit Tyagi and Anganwadi workers. Villagers were educated about environmental pollution and its impact, with a focus on water contamination. Doctors demonstrated water purification methods and distributed chlorine tablets to attendees. The session included interactive discussions, demonstrations, and active participation from villagers, making it an engaging and informative event.

On the occasion of International Thyroid Week (25-31 May 2024), the Department of Biochemistry at Santosh Deemed to be University hosted a symposium on the thyroid gland, in collaboration with the Departments of Anatomy and Physiology. The event took place on May 31, 2024, at Maharaja Hall and was attended by faculty and first-year MBBS students. Key lectures were delivered by Dr. Monika (Anatomy), Dr. Manisha Gupta (Physiology), and Dr. Poonam Agrawal (Biochemistry), covering thyroid anatomy, physiology, and diagnostics. The session concluded with a quiz, and the Dean, Dr. Alka Aggrawal, highlighted the importance of early thyroid screening in preventing cretinism.

On May 25, 2024, Santosh Hospital, Ghaziabad, hosted a seminar on the "Advantage of Probiotics Use and Its Effect on Immunity, Gut, Brain Axis, and Bone Health." Organized by the Paediatrics Department, the event saw participation from 21 postgraduate students. After a delightful lunch, the session commenced at 2 PM with faculty and attendees engaging in interactive discussions. Various health benefits of probiotics were explored, highlighting their impact on immunity, the gut-brain axis, and bone health. The seminar concluded with insightful discussions, emphasizing the growing significance of probiotics in healthcare.

From 8th to 15th May 2024, the Departments of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion at Santosh Medical College and Hospital organized a blood donation drive as part of Thalassemia Awareness Week. The event, themed “Empowering Lives, Embracing Progress: Equitable and Accessible Thalassemia Treatment for All,” aimed to support thalassemia patients by raising awareness and collecting blood donations. Over 30 donors participated, including students, faculty, and non-teaching staff. The drive featured health screenings, educational sessions, and refreshments for donors. The event was a resounding success, fostering community involvement and highlighting the need for accessible healthcare for thalassemia patients.

The Department of Immunohaematology, Blood Transfusion, and Pathology at Santosh Medical College Hospital organized a poster competition during "Thalassemia Awareness Week" to educate the community about this genetic blood disorder. Held on May 8th, 2024, in honor of World Thalassemia Day, the event saw enthusiastic participation from paramedical students who presented their posters and engaged in an insightful evaluation session with medical experts. The top three posters were awarded, and the competition successfully promoted lifelong learning, fostering both research and the exchange of knowledge on thalassemia treatment, research, and support resources.

In May, recognized as Celiac Disease Awareness Month, three MBBS students from the 2022 batch—Samragyi Juneja, Aastha Singh, and Shivangi Singh—held an informative session on Celiac Disease. The presentation, conducted on May 27th and 28th, 2024, in collaboration with the Departments of Pathology and Anatomy, aimed to educate students about the disease's pathophysiology, symptoms, and diagnosis. By integrating an interactive and creative approach, the session highlighted the importance of early diagnosis and holistic care. Covering topics like etiology, immunology, and treatment, the event successfully raised awareness among future clinicians about this commonly overlooked disease.

On April 19, 2024, Santosh Medical College & Hospital hosted a seminar in Maharaja Hall to commemorate World Hemophilia Day under the theme “Equitable Access for All: Recognizing All Bleeding Disorders.” Organized by the Departments of IHBT and Pathology, the event drew 126 students and 10 faculty members. The seminar featured expert presentations, starting with Dr. Saumya Panday’s introduction to hemophilia, followed by Dr. Priyanka Gupta’s insights into genetics and diagnosis. Dr. Mamta Priya discussed treatment complications, while Dr. Sehrish Chaudhary highlighted recent advances in therapy. The event emphasized the importance of advocacy and awareness for equitable healthcare access for all bleeding disorders.

On April 12, 2024, the Department of Physiology at Santosh Medical College, alongside the MBBS 2023 Batch, organized an impactful event to commemorate World Parkinson's Day. The event aimed to raise awareness about Parkinson's Disease, a neurodegenerative disorder affecting millions. A highlight was a role-play by students depicting various aspects of living with Parkinson's, including diagnosis, symptom management, and caregiver challenges. Faculty members shared expert insights, followed by a discussion and Q&A session. The event, guided by Dr. Manisha Gupta and Dr. Shishir Dutt, successfully emphasized empathy, support, and multidisciplinary care for those affected by Parkinson's.

On April 10, 2024, the ENT department of Santosh Medical College & Hospital hosted a Continuing Medical Education (CME) event titled "Foreign Bodies in the Aero-Digestive Tract: Myriad Challenges 2024." Led by Dr. Tarun Malhotra, the program aimed to equip medical students with essential skills in identifying, managing, and preventing foreign body incidents. Keynote speaker Dr. Ravi Meher delivered an engaging presentation enhanced by 3D visuals and case studies. The event included an interactive quiz that encouraged participation, rewarding top students with certificates and a specialized E.N.T. book. A humorous stage play further illustrated management techniques, making the event both educational and memorable.

The "Voluntary Blood Donation Week" was held from April 1 to April 7, 2024, at the Blood Centre, IHBT Department, Santosh Medical College and Hospitals, in celebration of World Health Day. Organized by the Department of Immunohematology and Blood Transfusion, this initiative aimed to raise awareness about the significance of voluntary blood donation. The week included activities such as registration, medical screenings by qualified professionals, and blood collection, resulting in 27 successful donations. This successful event not only addressed community blood needs but also fostered a spirit of social responsibility and unity among participants, highlighting the lifesaving impact of blood donation.

Founder’s day of Santosh Deemed to be University was celebrated on 3rd March-2024. This is the day to commemorate those who founded the college and who have developed the university to its present state. It is celebrated on 1st Sunday March every year.
Program started with felicitation of founders and leadership team followed by Dias Formation. A corporate video showing the progress of the university was shown to all attendees. Speeches were given by Chancellor Dr Manoj Goyal, Vice-Chancellor Dr Tripta S Bhagat, Dean Medical Dr Alka Agrawal & Dena Dental Dr Akshay Bhargava on the progress of university and respective colleges. 32 employees who completed 25 years of their service in the university were felicitated. 66 Alumni of MBBS and BDS batches of 1998-99 & 1999-2000 were also felicitated. Students performed small cultural program for the university progress. Program ended with vote of thanks by Dean Academics Dr Shalabh Gupta. In the evening, all the members of teaching and non-teaching staff along with their families were invited for a GALA Cultural evening and Dinner. Entire event was attended by more than one thousand staff members of university. Token of appreciation in the form of a corporate Bag was given by Founder Chairman to all staff.

A CME on “Gender Sensitization” was arranged on 29th February 2024 at Santosh Medical College & Hospitals between 2 PM- 4 PM on the 2nd Floor, Lecture Room, Santosh Medical College and Hospitals, Ghaziabad, arranged by the Department of Clinical Psychology which was attended by various medical faculties. The event started with a welcome speech by the host of the event Dr Niharika Arora, Assistant Professor, Department of Clinical Psychology who was also the program coordinator for this event. The chief guest of the program was Dr Ashok Kumar, Professor & Head, Department of General Medicine, SMCH who addressed the session and presented his view on Gender Sensitization then the CME was addressed by the guest of honor Dr Manisha Gupta, Professor & Head, Department of Gynecology & Obstetrics, SMCH. She elucidated the concept of gender Sensitization after the inaugural ceremony.

On 29th Feb, 2024, skill transfer course on suturing techniques was organized in department of ophthalmology under the guidance of Dr. Sarita Aggarwal, Head of the Ophthalmology Department, Santosh Hospital, Ghaziabad.
Dr. Somesh Ranjan, associate professor, Department of Ophthalmology was the course moderator and taught various suturing techniques to the ophthalmology post graduates and optometrist students.
Overall, the event was very helpful in helping students understand and learn suturing techniques that will prove to be of major help to them in their future practices.

Innovation council meeting report 28/2/2024 by Dr Mahendran, Assistant Professor department of respiratory medicine, member innovation council Santosh Deemed to be University.The Innovation Council meeting convened to discuss and strategize innovative initiatives aimed at enhancing competitiveness and addressing emerging challenges.Basic information on introduction to innovation and it’s various phases were explained to the inquisitive crowd .Various stages in innovation like pre incubation incubation and startup phase.The Innovation Council meeting served as a platform for robust discussion, collaboration, and decision-making to drive forward the organization's innovation agenda.

On February 28, 2024, the Department of Biochemistry at Santosh Medical College and Hospital, Santosh Deemed to be University, Ghaziabad, in collaboration with the Association of Clinical Biochemists of India (UP Chapter), hosted a one-day conference on ‘Evidence-Based Medicine and International Standards for Medical Laboratories (ISO 15189)’. The event aligned with NAAC guidelines, focusing on academic excellence, research culture, quality infrastructure, and student engagement. Eminent speakers and researchers shared insights on evidence-based practices, ISO standards, AI in medicine, and more. With over 190 participants, poster presentations, and engaging discussions, the conference marked a significant step toward enhancing healthcare education and laboratory standards.

In a collaborative effort to improve community health, a dedicated team from our dental department partnered with Balaji Old Age Home to conduct a specialized dental camp for elderly residents. Comprising 5 interns, 10 postgraduate students, and 5 faculty members, the team provided comprehensive dental check-ups, on-site treatments, and personalized oral health education. Through examinations, denture assessments, and individual counselling, the initiative aimed to enhance geriatric oral care, promote preventive practices, and bridge healthcare access gaps—underscoring our commitment to compassionate, community-centered care.

Santosh Deemed to be University have organized a Yoga Session on the Occasion of International Yoga Day on 21st June 2023. The event started with Auspicious Lamp Lighting and Saraswati Vandana by our Honourable Yoga Trainers from Bhartiya Yog Sansthan and Leadership Team. The event was joined by Director IQAC Dr. Dakshina Bisht, Dean Research, Dr. Jyoti Batra, Dean Student Welfare Dr. Rajiv Ahluwalia, 5 Faculty Members, more than 50 students and 8 Non-Teaching Staff. The Yoga trainers demonstrated different Aasna including Surya Namaskar. They explained the importance of Yoga and each Aasna and encouraged the participants to do Yoga in their daily lives to improve the lifestyle.
