Health Is Wealth! At Santosh Deemed to be University, we believe education extends beyond academics. We are committed to the holistic development of our students and a vibrant, year-round sports culture sits at the heart of that commitment — building physical fitness, teamwork and resilience alongside classroom learning. AURA Sports Fest is our flagship annual multi-sport extravaganza, organised by the Sports Committee and spread across nearly two weeks of non-stop action. From track and field, kho-kho and tug of war, to football, basketball, volleyball, kabaddi, badminton, table tennis, chess, carrom and even arm wrestling and e-sports (BGMI, FIFA, Tekken), AURA gives every student — across Medical, Dental and Allied Health Sciences courses — a stage to compete, whether on the field or the felt of a chessboard. Kicking off with a torch-lighting ceremony at Santosh Green, the fest brings together dozens of student volunteers, faculty advisors and committee members to run a packed schedule that keeps the entire campus buzzing with energy. Cricket has a stage all its own in the Santosh Premier League (SPL) — our very own IPL-style tournament, complete with a player auction where franchise teams bid to build their squads. Six teams — Challengers, Royals, Dynamic XI, Daredevils, Ninjas and Kings — battled it out over a two-week league season in a thrilling final where Daredevils were crowned champions, chasing down Kings' total in a high-scoring finale. Beyond the trophy, SPL has become a platform for students to discover leadership, strategy and team-building skills that go well beyond the boundary rope. For our racquet-sport enthusiasts, the Santosh Badminton Tournament, held in partnership with the Khelo Bharat initiative, brings students from every faculty onto the court in Boys' and Girls' Singles, Boys' Doubles and Mixed Doubles. What starts as a friendly campus event routinely turns into some of the most fiercely contested matches of the year — with several spectators inspired to pick up a racquet and join in on the spot. Winners are felicitated with medals and trophies at a dedicated Valedictory Ceremony, recognising not just athletic skill but the sportsmanship and discipline that badminton demands. Beyond these flagship events, our students regularly represent Santosh Deemed to be University at inter-collegiate sports competitions across Delhi-NCR, and we continue to organise intra-college tournaments throughout the year to give students a healthy, competitive break from academic routine. With world-class sports facilities supporting everything from outdoor cricket and volleyball to indoor chess and carrom, Santosh Deemed to be University ensures every student has the resources to pursue excellence — on the field and in the classroom alike.
