Dr. Shuvojit Moulik
Professor & HOD
Dr. Shuvojit Moulik
Qualification: M.Sc. (Microbiology) & Ph.D (Biochemistry)
Dr. Shuvojit Moulik is a distinguished scientist with over 15 years of experience in cancer biology, with a particular focus on gynecological cancers. His research expertise encompasses cell signaling pathways, genetic mutations, and receptor biology, and he is proficient in a wide array of laboratory and analytical techniques. These include diagnostic assays, protein–protein interaction methods, and advanced microscopy, which he employs to uncover molecular mechanisms underlying cancer progression and therapeutic resistance. In addition to his scientific career, Dr. Moulik brings 14 years of interdisciplinary research and social engagement, bridging healthcare, disability rights, gender equality, and education for marginalized communities. He is the founder of the Civilian Welfare Foundation (CWF), through which he has initiated and led numerous projects that merge scientific insight with grassroots implementation. His work exemplifies a unique integration of biomedical research and social commitment, to advance both scientific innovation and societal well-being.
Thrust areas:
- Affordable cancer diagnostics and screening (HRD, HPV)
- Precision oncology and resistance biology
- Integrative oncology adjuncts from traditional medicine
- Palliative care and quality-of-life research using confocal imaging, 3D cultures, and phospho-proteomics.
- Geo-clustered biorepositories for women’s cancers integrating clinical, molecular, and mental–physical data.
- Health equity for marginalized groups via point-of-care molecular diagnostics (HPV/HBV), trans-affirmative care, and PAR-driven delivery.
- Neurohealth and disability: Parkinson’s mitochondrial probes, early neurodivergence biomarkers, arts- and sports-based therapeutics (women athletes).
