Overview

The Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge at Santosh Dental College and Hospital is a centre of excellence, dedicated to the restoration and maintenance of oral function, health, comfort, and aesthetics. The department focuses on the replacement of missing or damaged natural teeth and associated oral tissues using advanced fixed and removable prosthetic solutions. 

The MDS Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge program offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on clinical and laboratory training. It emphasizes advanced techniques in crown and bridge work, implantology, and maxillofacial prosthetics to prepare students for specialized dental practice.

Work Experience: 15+ Years of Clinical & Teaching Experience

Dr. Rajiv Gupta is an esteemed professional with over 15 years of experience in clinical practice and teaching. He holds a BDS and MDS, specializing in Prosthodontics. Dr. Gupta currently serves as the Professor and Head of the Department of Prosthodontics, where he plays a key role in shaping the department’s educational approach and advancing clinical care practices.

With his vast experience, Dr. Gupta has been instrumental in providing students with high-quality education and hands-on training in the field of Prosthodontics. His expertise in restorative and rehabilitative dentistry, coupled with his dedication to patient care, has earned him respect among his peers and students. Dr. Gupta is passionate about integrating modern techniques and technologies into his teaching and clinical work, ensuring the delivery of exceptional dental care and fostering a culture of excellence in the department.

Leadership and Faculty Contributions:

The Department of Prosthodontics, Santosh Dental College and Hospital, actively participated in the 27th Indian Prosthodontic Society (IPS) Convention, held at SGT University, Gurugram.

Keynote Speaker

  • Dr. Akshay Bhargava, was invited as a preceptor for the President's Symposium, titled “Encouraging the Next Generation of Prosthodontics”, sharing the stage with eminent speakers Dr. Mahesh Verma, Dr. Chethan Hegde, and Dr. Shilpa Shetty.
  • Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta conducted a Gurukul session on 'Implantology for Bone Deficient Sites (BDS)' during the 27th IPS Convention held at SGT University, Gurugram.
