The Department of Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge at Santosh Dental College and Hospital is a centre of excellence, dedicated to the restoration and maintenance of oral function, health, comfort and aesthetics. The department focuses on the replacement of missing or damaged natural teeth and associated oral tissues using advanced fixed and removable prosthetic solutions. 

The MDS Prosthodontics and Crown & Bridge program offers a comprehensive curriculum that combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on clinical and laboratory training. It emphasizes advanced techniques in crown and bridge work, implantology and maxillofacial prosthetics to prepare students for specialized dental practice.

Work Experience: 18 Years of Clinical & Teaching Experience

Dr. Aditya Chaudhary is a distinguished Prosthodontist and Implantologist with over 18 years of clinical, academic and research experience in dentistry. He holds a BDS and MDS, specializing in Prosthodontics. Dr. Chaudhary currently serves as the Professor and Head of the Department of Prosthodontics, where he plays a key role in shaping the department’s educational approach and advancing clinical care practices.

He has further enhanced his expertise through advanced fellowship and implantology training programs conducted in India, Italy and Japan.

Dr. Chaudhary possesses extensive experience in teaching, clinical mentoring and advanced prosthodontic rehabilitation. Prior to joining Santosh Dental College, he served at ITS Dental College, Greater Noida, where he played a key role in postgraduate education and implantology training. He has also served as Chief Clinical Mentor for Implantology courses, guiding students and clinicians in advanced implant procedures and full-mouth rehabilitation techniques.

Dr. Chaudhary has also made significant contributions to dental literature through various national and international publications, book chapters and scientific presentations. His dedication to excellence in implant dentistry earned him the “Outstanding Achiever for Excellence in Oral Implantology” award. Through his continued commitment to academics, research and patient care, he contributes immensely to the advancement of Prosthodontics and Implant Dentistry.

Events

1. Guest Alumni Lecture on "Introduction to Digital Prosthodontics" on 25th May 2026

Guest speaker: Dr. Pranay Prasad Tandon

  • The Department of Prosthodontics organized a Guest Alumini lecture on “Introduction to Digital Prosthodontics” taken by Dr. Pranay Prasad Tandon, distinguished alumnus of Santosh Deemed to be University.

  • The lecture was to provide students with exposure to recent advancements in the field of digital prosthodontics through the experiences and expertise of an alumnus actively involved in contemporary dental practice.

2. Celebration of World Malaria Day on 25th April 2026

  • The program aimed to educate participants about malaria, including its etiology, pathogenesis, clinical features, management, and preventive strategies.

  • A quiz competition was also conducted to assess and enhance the knowledge of participants regarding malaria.

3. Celebration of World Oral Health Day on 20th April 2026

  • The Department of Prosthodontics organized a clinical program within the department to provide prosthodontic rehabilitation to edentulous patients.
  • The program was highly successful, as all attending edentulous patients received their dentures. Patients showed great satisfaction and happiness after restoration of their oral function and appearance..

4. Guest lecture on Digital Max-fac Prosthesis on 27th January 2026

  • The guest lecture delivered by Dr. Abhishekh Nagaraj was highly informative and provided valuable insights into the evolving field of digital maxillofacial prosthetics. The session enhanced students’ knowledge of advanced rehabilitation techniques and highlighted the importance of integrating digital technology into prosthodontic practice.

  • The lecture was well received by both faculty and students, contributing significantly to their academic enrichment and clinical orientation.

5. Single Day Denture Camp conducted on 22nd January 2026

  • A Dental Camp was conducted by the Department of Prosthodontics at Panchayat Ash Sewarth Sameeti Noor Nagar Ghaziabad on 22nd of January 2026 to celebrate World Prosthodontist Day.

  • The objectives and goal of the camp were to create awareness and advise proper oral hygiene for the patients and deliver denture to edentulous patients in a single day. Patients were assessed and their complaints recorded.

  • The dental camp commenced with the screening and assessment of patients, followed by recording of prosthodontic complaints and providing oral hygiene instructions..
