International Guest Lecture on Zoonosis

In line with this vision, the University hosted an International Guest Lecture on Zoonosis on 22nd December 2025 at Santosh Hospital.

The session was conducted by Dr. Alma Tokayeva, a distinguished academician from Semey Medical University, Kazakhstan and brought together an esteemed gathering of university leadership, faculty members, medical students, postgraduate trainees and research scholars. The presence of senior leadership including Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor, Vice Chancellor and Director International Relations reflected the institution’s dedication to fostering a globally connected academic environment.

The lecture commenced with a welcome address by the Director International Relations followed by opening remarks from the Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor who emphasized the importance of international academic collaboration in addressing global health challenges. The session witnessed enthusiastic participation with a full house of attendees demonstrating keen interest in the subject of zoonotic diseases an area of growing global concern.

Dr. Alma Tokayeva delivered an insightful and comprehensive lecture offering a global perspective on zoonotic infections. The session focused on the transmission, prevention and management of diseases that spread between animals and humans highlighting their relevance in today’s interconnected world. A key highlight of the lecture was the comparative analysis of zoonosis management practices between India and Kazakhstan.
