Online Zoom Meeting with Alte University, Georgia

Santosh Deemed to be University continues to strengthen its global academic footprint through meaningful international collaborations aimed at enhancing medical education, research and clinical exposure. In line with this vision, the University had the privilege of hosting a distinguished delegation from Alte University, Georgia on 12th December 2025 at the Board Room, Santosh Deemed to be University.

The meeting was convened under the leadership of Hon’ble Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Manoj Goyal and brought together senior academic and administrative representatives from both institutions. The delegation from Alte University included eminent academicians and international relations experts while Santosh University was represented by key leadership members including the Registrar, Director International Relations, Director IQAC and the International Advisory team.

The interaction commenced with a warm welcome and set the tone for a collaborative dialogue focused on building a long-term academic partnership. Both institutions expressed a shared commitment to fostering excellence in medical education and exploring avenues for mutual growth.

A series of strategic discussions were held around key areas of collaboration. These included the exchange of teaching and learning methodologies in medical education, participation in scientific conferences and the development of joint research initiatives in interdisciplinary areas of medicine. The dialogue also emphasized the importance of creating structured student internship programs with a focus on defining expectations related to clinical exposure, placement opportunities and associated logistics.The introduction of hybrid and online learning technologies was also highlighted as a critical component for modern medical education.

Further deliberations led to the proposal of several impactful initiatives including summer training programs, short-term fellowships and faculty development programs aimed at enhancing teaching competencies. Presentations by each of the senior faculty from Santosh University provided insights into the institution’s clinical training infrastructure and its existing international exchange programs showcasing its capability to offer robust academic exposure.

The meeting concluded with a set of actionable decisions designed to ensure continuity and progress. Both universities agreed to establish small working groups for regular communication and to review collaborative progress every 6–8 weeks. Plans were also made to initiate short-term internship programs ranging from 1–2 weeks culminating in certification for participating students. Additionally both institutions expressed interest in organizing joint workshops and sharing institutional resources to enhance clinical learning experiences.

The visit marked a significant step forward in Santosh University’s journey toward global academic integration. By fostering international partnerships the University aims to provide its students and faculty with diverse learning opportunities, global exposure and access to best practices in healthcare education.

The interaction concluded on a positive note with both institutions reaffirming their commitment to building a sustainable and mutually beneficial partnership. This collaboration is expected to pave the way for future academic exchanges, joint research endeavors and innovative educational initiatives further strengthening Santosh Deemed to be University’s position as a globally connected institution.
