Indian Prosthodontic Society completed its 50 glorious years in 2022. To commemorate the same, the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Indian Prosthodontic Society was held at Leela Ambience Convention Centre, New Delhi, from November 10th to November 13th 2022. It was a four-day celebration that included a Torch March, cultural programs and academic presentations like scientific deliberations, table- clinics, scientific paper presentations and health awareness program.
Prof. Dr. Akshay Bhargava, Dean of Santosh Dental College & Hospital and former President of Indian Prosthodontic Society, served as treasurer as well as Chairperson of the table-clinics committee in this prestigious mega-event. Dr. Akshay Bhargava was also felicitated with honors for his contribution to the field of Prosthodontics and glorified for his exemplary work as President (2020-2021) during Covid-19 period.
The conference began with a Torch March to signify enlightenment and immortality. The conference was a culmination of a year-long celebrations in the form of Torch March and health awareness program conducted all over the country covering many states starting from Tamil Nadu to Maharashtra and West Bengal to Delhi. There were more than 2200 registrations, 58 keynote lectures, 285 faculty posters, 162 faculty papers, 167 student papers, 93 table-clinics and 41 pre-conference courses. Nukkad Natak and Dance performances from different states were the highlights of the cultural program that followed the Academic presentations. The entire program reflected the enthusiasm of Prosthodontists of the country, young and old.
It was a wonderful program, well-organised and forever to be cherished by all who participated in it. Santosh Dental College was one of the sponsors of this mega event.
