Students of 3rd year were taken to Water Treatment Plant, Pratap Vihar on 17 November as field visit during the clinical postings in the department of Community Medicine. Assistant Professor Dr. Kshitij Chaudhary and health worker Mr. Rajesh accompanied the students. Dr. Kshitij taught about slow and rapid sand filters, filtration process in both of the filters and the differences between them. Students observed the process of flocculation, sedimentation, filtration, chlorination and other process involved in treatment of water before it is supplied to homes.
