Awareness session on World Breast Feeding Week

Santosh deemed to be University, Ghaziabad organized an awareness session on World Breast feeding week on 5. August.2023. This year Key focus was on “Let's make breastfeeding and work, work!”

Objective of the session was to teach the importance of breast feeding for new born growth and development, how important its is for fighting with diseases.

The event was organized by Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad in collaboration with Department of Community Medicine, Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad.Event was executed at Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad.The post graduate students and interns in the department highlighted the importance of this event. Benefits of exclusive breast feeding in neonates.The interns and PGs of the department took awareness session via charts and monologue, in which they explained about the importance of breast feeding ,steps of breast feeding and benefits if breast feeding for infants and as well as mother.We also told about duration of exclusive breast feeding, how to wean gradually and foods for weaning.All the people present there took interest in the activity and were influenced in the right way.More than 20 post natal mothers were present in the venue and many staff members also attended the event.
