Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad organised National Health Skills Conclave workshop on 2ndNovember2022. Department of Community Medicine held session on ‘Basics of immunization and immunisation techniques’. Dr. Anupama Singh (Assistant Professor) coordinated and facilitated the session. Discussions were held on national immunisation schedule, types of vaccines,cold chain, open vial policy, heat and freeze sensitive vaccines and demonstration of the different techniques of giving intradermal, subcutaneous, intramuscularand oral vaccination was done. A total of 56students registered for the workshop. Dr. Deepika Agrawal (Head of Department) and Dr. Anupama Singh demonstratedways of injecting intramuscular, subcutaneous and intradermal vaccines on mannequins. Students actively took part in the activity and learned vaccination techniques. Post Graduate students, senior tutor, Assistant Professors and health workers of the Department were also present in the workshop.
