BLOOD DONATION CAMP- SANTOSH MEDICAL COLLEGE AND HOSPITAL

On the occasion of birth anniversary of our honourable Prime Minister Shree Narendra Damodar Das Modi, a “Raktdaan Amrit Mahotsav” is celebrating from 17 th September 2022 to 1 st October 2022, Voluntary Blood donation camp was organised by Blood centre, Santosh Medical College and Hospital at Rakesh Marg, Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The camp was inaugrated by Ex health Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Shree Atul Garg ji. In India, every two seconds a person requires blood. India needs four crore units of blood every year but only mere 40 lakh units are available. Volunteers who wished to donate were first counselled regarding the benefits of blood donation and others were also motivated who were first hesitant. After the donor screening, medical examination and counselling and those who were fit to donate blood were sent for donation under aseptic conditions. Post donation care was provided to all the donors including refreshment and appreciation and donation certificate also provided to all donors. The staff of Blood Centre, Santosh Medical College and Hospital, Ghaziabad took very good care of the donors pre as well as post donation. We are truly grateful working with such a enthusiastic people. All the donors were happy post donation and were focused to donate blood again and motivate others too At the end, thanks a lot to all the blood donors on behalf of our hospital for the blood-needy patients while inspiring others to donate also. We are thankful to our medical and technical team to organise a successful voluntary Blood Donation Camp in a very professional manner.
