Celebrated 38th National Eye donation fortnight

ON 28TH AUGUST 2023, Department of Ophthalmology, Santosh Hospital, celebrated 38th National Eye donation fortnight.

The event proceedings began with a welcome note by Dr. Sarita Aggarwal, Head of Department of Ophthalmology. This was followed by auspicious Lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. The event was graced by many eminent members from the fraternity. Our Honorable guests included Dr. Ashok Sharma, Pro-V.C. and Dr. Alpana Aggarwal, Medical Superintendent of Santosh Hospital. The event was attended by distinguished guests Dr. Sandeep Varshney (IMA President), Dr. Seema Varshney (First Lady of IMA), Dr. Vaani (President elect of IMA), Dr. Rajeev Goel (President elect of U.P. IMA), Dr. Anant Jain (Lion’s Club, President), Mr. Rajeev Goel (Eye Donation Project Incharge), Dadichi Deh Dan Sammiti members and HOD’s of Various departments of Santosh Hospital. This was followed by a highly informative presentation on eye donation by Dr. Sarita Aggarwal. The PG students of Ophthalmology Department prepared a Skit to spread awareness about Eye Donation. The event concluded with a talk by our esteemed guests and a vote of thanks by Dr. Shikha Pawaiya (Associate Professor).
