Enhancing Paediatric Transfusion Practices -Session 2

The "Paediatric Transfusion Practices Session 2" was organised on September 4, 2023, by the collaborative efforts of the Departments of IHBT and Paediatrics. This educational event aimed to raise awareness and provide comprehensive training to postgraduate students in paediatric transfusion practices, focusing on ensuring safe and effective blood transfusions in paediatric patients.Dr Amit Varma and Dr Mayurika Tyagi, experts in the field delivered information on various aspects of transfusion medicine, transfusion guidelines and paediatric transfusion practices. Practical aspects and role-play allowed participants to gain hands-on experience in paediatric blood transfusion procedures. This interactive approach enhanced their skills and confidence in administering transfusions safely.
