Free Health camp

A free health camp was organised on 26. December.2022, in Specialised Adoption Agency, Gharonda orphanage, Ghaziabad, by Department of Community Medicine, Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad. Total of 30 children were examined. The clinical finding were noted on OPD cards which had the stamp of ‘health camp’. All the children were screened for BMI, head circumference and mid arm circumference. All children were examined and given prescriptions for various health conditions like rhinitis, URTI, LRTI, gastroenteritis, ASOM, scabies, fungal infections, anaemia etc.Patients requiring advanced treatment were advised to visit higher centre (Santosh Hospital) for respective speciality. Children were given free medications which included paracetamol, cough syrup, levocetirizine syrup, anti fungal powder, permethrin cream etc. The orphanage care taker was instructed about the medication usage and doses.Staff was also involved.Children were educated about good hygiene practices and motivated for regular health checkups.
