Free Health camp-Adoption Agency-Gharonda orphanage-Ghaziabad

A free health camp was organised on 20 July 2023, in Specialised Adoption Agency, Gharonda orphanage, Ghaziabad, by Department of Community Medicine, Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad. A total of 20 children were examined by the faculty and PGs. The clinical finding were noted on OPD cards which had the stamp of ‘health camp’. All the children were screened for Height, weight, head circumference and mid arm circumference. All children were examined and given prescriptions for various health conditions like rhinitis, URTI, gastroenteritis, ASOM, scabies, fungal infections, anaemia etc. Patients requiring advanced treatment were advised to visit higher centre (Santosh Hospital) for respective speciality. Children were given free medications which included paracetamol, cough syrup, levocetirizine syrup, anti fungal powder, permethrin cream etc. The orphanage care taker was instructed about the medication usage and doses. Staff was also involved. Children were educated about good hygiene practices and motivated for regular health check-ups.
