Guest lecture : Department of ENT

A Guest lecture was organised by the department of ENT on 15th February 2023. An eminent Speaker, Dr. Rohit Saxena, Prof. & HoD (ENT), SMS & R, Sharda University, GZB was invited for the event. In house faculty also contributed to the subject.HoD ENT welcomed the gathering and introduced the basic concepts of coblation technology i.e. oscillating electrosurgical current in saline medium for disruption of tissues with least collateral damage. The guest speaker highlighted the various advantages and had video demonstration of technique of adenotonsilectomy, palatoplasty and turbinoplasty using coblation. Departmental faculty also described application of coblation in various laryngeal disorders esp. RRP.There was an active participation by the Faculty of department of ENT, PGs, UGs and Interns. The sessions were informative and highly appreciated.
