A nationwide quiz under the banner of Indian Association of Preventive & Social Medicine (IAPSM) on the occasion of World Health Day was organized by the department of Santosh Medical College.
Posters and banners related to WHD quiz were placed at different places in the institute depicting name of Nodal person, Head of the department, Head of the institute and date of preliminary and final rounds of quiz. Students from 1st year to final year were also informed about the quiz and were motivated to take part in the same. Each team contained 3 members.
Elimination round of quiz was conducted on 3rd April, 2023, in 2 pm slot. A total of 29 students participated in elimination round. It was conducted with help of two junior residents. Question papers were distributed to team members in four sets A,B,C and D and time allotted to them was 20 minutes. Instructions regarding question paper were clearly announced beforehand. Thereafter, marks calculation was done for each team member. Four teams which got the highest marks were selected for final round. So, a total of 12 students got selected for final round.
Final round was conducted on 10th April, in 2 pm slot. It was inaugurated by Head of the department. A total of 12 students, ie, 4 teams participated in final round. One faculty helped in calculating marks and one junior resident helped with other things. Two Medical social workers were also present. Audience included approximately 10 students. At the beginning of each round, instructions were clearly announced. After the completion of quiz, marks were calculated and the team with the highest marks was announced as the winner of the quiz. Students were given refreshments too.
Winners: Team A with members- Kanishka Singh, Shabina Rahman, Paankhurii Gupta, was the winner of the quiz. Winners and other participants were given certificates by Head of the department,
