A faculty and PG development program on “Impression in Implant Prosthodontics” was conducted in Dept of Prosthodontics on 23rd Aug 23. Impression making is one of the most important steps in fabrication of a prosthesis. Over the time different materials and different techniques have evolved which have made impression making easy and more precise. Hence the program focussed on making impression in Fixed Prosthodontic cases by making impression with some newly evolved techniques and materials like Polyether material and scanning technique.
The Post graduate students were given a demonstrations of recording impressions using different materials like monophase polyether material manipulated with the help of Pentamix machine. Students were also given a demo of making impressions with the help of Intraoral scanners.
