Laryngo-tracheal lesions

ENT department of Santosh Medical College & Hospital organized an INTERACTIVE CME in association with ENT Surgeons Association, Gzb Branch on 13/02/2024.

Objective of the CME was to impart knowledge and create awareness about the LARYNGO-TRACHEAL LESIONS with respect to LARYNGOTRACHEAL INFECTIONS, LARYNGOTRACHEAL STENOSIS and  LARYNGOTRACHEAL TRAUMA.

Execution:

The CME was was held under the leadership of Dr. Tarun Malhotra (Prof. And HOD ENT, SMCH) and Dr. Chaudhary (President, ENT Surgeons Association, Gzb).

 The Guest Speakers invited for the CME were Dr. Chandresh Agarwal (Prof & HOD, Dept of ENT, SIMS, HAPUR) & Dr. Seema Monga (Prof & HOD, Hamdard Institute of Medical Sciences and Research).

The Convener was Dr. Sushil Gaur (Professor) and Organising secretary was Dr.Abhay Kumar Singh (Associate professor). The Joint Secretaries were Dr.Raina Rathore and Dr. Shruti Tandon (Assistant professors)

It was attended by consultants of Ghaziabad region, faculties and  PGs of various medical colleges and hospitals of Delhi-NCR. Following the welcome address, the eminent guest speakers deliberated on various aspects of LT lesions. Importance of early airway management in cases of stridor due to any etiology was emphasized. The various investigations and medical/surgical management protocols were discussed. The highlight was also the practical demonstration of securing the airway in critical cases of LT lesions.

Tangible Outcomes:

Dissemination of knowledge about the urgent airway attention in cases of LT lesions.

The attendees were educated that following urgent airway control, the specific pathology needs attention.

It helped in identification and orientation of young minds and guided attendees towards a multidisciplinary approach to its management.
