Inculcating a sense of culture and unity is the essence of any Indian festival and Navratri is a portrait of colour, action, music and togetherness. Santosh Deemed to be University Student’s Council celebrated Dandiya evening on 20th October 2023 with the help of perfect traditional attires and dancing skills. The day of bonding, where the gathering, the celebration and dance etched a unique combination signifying the diversity of Indian culture in student.
The festivities began at 05:30 pm with Goddess Durga pooja and aarti followed by distribution of prasad among attendees.
The event was attended by the Vice Chancellor ma’am- Dr. Tripta S Bhagat, Director Academic Administration- Dr. V. P. Gupta, Dean Academics- Dr. Shalabh Gupta, Dean Dental- Dr. Akshay Bhargava, Director IQAC- Dr. Dakshina Bisht, Dean Student Welfare- Dr. Rajiv Ahluwalia, faculty Dr. Neeraj Grover, Dr. Nishant Gupta, Dr. Mayank Gupta etc.
The event saw an active participation of almost 400 students from both Santosh Medical College and Santosh Dental College. The DJ made sure the visitors glued to the floor all through the evening with Traditional dandiya music along with some peppy Bollywood dandiya numbers.
The night ended with winners taking away prizes, Jaspreet Kaur (MBBS 1st Yr.) and Chaitanya Sakhuja (MBBS 2nd Yr.) won the title of Best Dressed.
The event was binded with high security where all registration work was carried out sublimely.
The event was a perfect blend of good ambience and music.
