Maxillofacial Prosthetics Workshop

The Maxillofacial Prosthetics Workshop, organized by the Department of prosthodontics, aimed to provide a comprehensive platform for professionals in the field to enhance their knowledge and practical skills in maxillofacial prosthetics. Commencement of workshop was done with the lamp lightning ceremony with Saraswati Vandana. The workshop started with Dean Dental Dr. Akshay Bhargava addressing the gathering and instilling learning excitement in all students. Dr. Bharti Dua hosted the whole event.Guest speaker, Dr. Sanketh K. Reddy was introduced by the deputy Dean, Dr. Sumita Giri.Words of wisdom were shared by dean, students and welfare, Dr. Rajiv Alluwalia.Head of department Dr. Rajiv Kumar Gupta gave away the vote of thanks. Winners of best out of dental materials and soap carving competition organised by the department for BDS second year students were awarded with the certificates by the dignitaries.

Speaker  emphasized the importance of a multidisciplinary approach, involving prosthodontists, surgeons, and other specialists in the decision-making process.

Psychosocial Aspects and Patient Communication: Understanding the psychosocial impact of maxillofacial conditions on patients is integral to providing comprehensive care. The workshop included sessions on effective communication strategies and patient-centered approaches in maxillofacial prosthetics.

Demonstration: Interactive demonstration and discussion allowed participants to apply theoretical knowledge in practical settings.

Google forms were filled and submitted by all the participants describing their feedback regarding the workshop. The positive feedback from participants encourages the department to continue organizing such impactful events in the future, contributing to the ongoing development of the field.
