National Deworming Day (10/02/24) was organized by the Department of Community Medicine and Department of Pharmacology of Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad on 10st February, 2024 at composite Vidyalaya school-Duhai and Duhai village
Execution:
- National Deworming Day (10/02/24) was organized by the Department of Community Medicine and Department of Pharmacology on 10st February, 2024 at composite Vidyalaya school with speech given by faculties and Pgs .
- A Deworming session was conducted under supervision by Dr. Saborni Dey (HOD Pharmacology ) Dr. Anupama and Neha Jetli (Asst. Prof., Deptt. Of Community Medicine, Santosh Medical College) in Composite Vidyalaya school for the students who were lastly Dewormed for more than 6 month time interval.
- Drugs such as Albendazole syrup , Albendazole tablets , Pan -D were contributed by both Department of pharmacology and Department of community medicine .
- The student of the school were encouraged and educated about the need of Deworming, and benefits of deworming to their health.
- An interactive session with student was done to assess their own knowledge regarding the topic and all the questions were answered.
- The students were also encouraged to spread the knowledge among their own family members.
- Followed by all this, the students at the school were given Albendazole Tablets/ Albendazole syrup under the guidance of faculties and PGs .
- The students then expanded this Deworming programme by delivering medicines and administering medicines to the children of families adopted by the students under Family Adoption Programme.
- The teachers and students were applauded for their efforts and awareness about the need for deworming .
