The NHSC was organized on 2nd November, 2022 which provided a platform for students to learn multi- faceted skills and practices often required in the arena of health care. To fulfill this objective, Department of General Medicine, Santosh Medical College organized a Skill demonstration on the topic –
“ECG Techniques and Basic Interpretation”.
The lecture set forth with an introduction to the basics of ECG by Dr. Ashok Kumar, Professor and Head, General Medicine. It included demonstrations, questions and exemplary case histories to ensure that the crux of the topic was explicitly understood by the audience. Doubts and queries were welcomed and were responded to, throughout the lecture session which made it an interactive one. The introduction to the topic was followed by a keen insight into variations of ECG in cardiac diseases and it's interpretation, by Dr. Rashmi Sharma, AP, General Medicine. She further focused on multi-faceted pathologies of the cardio- vascular and other systems which can be recognized by interpreting and analyzing the variations in ECG readings of a patient.
Overall, the session was enjoyed by the audience which comprised of students, consultants, post graduate residents, intern trainees and other keen listeners.
