The Department of Biochemistry organized a Seminar presentation for the post-graduates. Dr. Shweta Kumari, MD scholar from Batch 2020-21 presented on the topic “ELISA and its Diagnostic Importance” on 12.12.2022 at 11:00 am-12:00 pm under the guidance of Dr Juhi Aggarwal.A seminar is an educational meeting in which a group of individuals discuss a particular topic, recent advances in the following topic, their diagnostic importance and clinical significance. Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) is a labeled immunoassay that is considered the gold standard of immunoassays. This immunological test is very sensitive and is used to detect and quantify substances, including antibodies, antigens, proteins, glycoproteins, and hormones. The detection of these products is accomplished by complexing antibodies and antigens to produce a measurable result. There were insightful academic inputs given on the topic and interesting comments was put forward by the student as well as the faculty.
