29th November 2022 Department of biochemistry presented a lecture on Professional Development and community orientation for MBBS Batch 2022-23 for foundation course- Extra-curricular activity Movie and reflective discussion.Dr Juhi Aggarwal, Prof & head & Dr Luna Sinha, Assistant professor, department of biochemistry discussed the importance of medical education, healthcare, and research. The session included topics on learning styles, student support system, self-directed learning, and development of leadership skills, conflict management, time management, communication skills, medical ethics, and students’ orientation to the health systems were well received by the students. The reasons reflected from their session plans were that these sessions facilitated small group discussions, and had ice-breaking activities, team building activities, planned for short durations, field visits, energizing activities, hands-on training, motivating the students to present their ideas, creativity and reflections. Active learning made the students responsible for their learning process and developed higher-order thinking. The Session was attended by 107 Number of Student.
