Sancon-Annual Educational Conference-2023

SanCon, the annual educational conference conducted by Santosh Medical College Ghaziabad, was conducted on 19th and 20th October 2023.

Department of Community Medicine also participated in it and discussed " non-alcoholic fatty liver disease, a public health problem ".

The twenty minutes session was started by Dr. Deepika Agrawal, Professor, Dept of Community Medicine.

This session was chaired by Dr. Geeta Gupta, Professor, Microbiology and Dr. Manisha Gupta, Professor & Head, Obstetrics and Gynecology and graced by the Dean and other dignitaries of the college.

The audience included medical and paramedical under and post graduate students of Santosh deemed to be University. Around 30 students attended the session along with Dr. Hasan Zaidi-HOD (CM), Dr. Gajendra Gupta and faculty of various Departments.

The session gave an overview of how non-alcoholic fatty liver disease is an emerging disease and can be a coming public health problem. Also explained were the causes, symptoms, prevention, and national programmes related to it.
