In order to commensurate “The World Hand Hygiene day” the Department of Biochemistry organized hands on training on Hand Hygiene for the MBBS students, batch 22-23 and staff members of the department. The training program was coordinated by Dr RN Gupta, Associate professor and Dr.Sanjukta Naik, Assistant Professor followed by the other faculty members of the Department of Biochemistry.
When conducted at the appropriate times throughout health care delivery, hand hygiene saves millions of lives each year. Clean care shows respect for persons seeking care while also protecting the health and other professionals who offer that care. Hand hygiene is a strong tool to combat various infections like recent COVID 19. The 7 steps of washing hands are a key to a clean and healthy life.
