Workshop on IPR and IP Management

Central Research Facility and "Santosh Startups Forum" have organized a Workshop on IP & IPR for Faculty and Startups of Santosh Deemed to be University. The main objective of this event was to generate awareness about Intellectual Property Rights (IPR). The program started with the need for IPR and the introduction of the Santosh Start-up Forum, SSF, by its director and Dean Research, Dr. Jyoti Batra. Later, Dr. Shaleen Raizada highlighted the importance of IPR and how it rewards and recognizes the contributor for their research, designs, discoveries, inventions, and laws related to copyrights, patents, trademarks, and publicity rights. The event was followed by Dr. Raizada, who provided an overview of the statutory and the mechanism of accessing IPR information for further research and development in developing new products and processes for their use in research and business development. The participants learned the purpose of intellectual property and the various steps for transforming innovations into proprietary assets.
