World No Tobacco Day

A Door to Door Awareness programme was organised on 31 may 2023, in Pratap Vihar Ghaziabad, by Department of Community Medicine, Santosh Medical College, Ghaziabad.This Awareness programme was executed for the WORLD NO TOBACCO DAY.

All the residents were explained about harmful effects of Tobacco usage in any form. The users of Tobacco products in forms of smoking and chewing Tobacco were explained in detail about the chances they might get affected with cancers involving lung and oral , CAD , COPD and other related diseases.Tobacco users who wanted to give up on smoking but who failed were given counselling and was told about meditation , exercise ,nicotine replacement therapy .Children and Adolescent were told about the addiction smoking can create and to stay away from anyone who forces them to use tobacco products.Harmful effects of passive smoking have been explained to family members of smokers .
