World Oral Health Day is observed globally on March 20 every year with the primary aim of creating awareness about the importance of oral health. The day is celebrated to promote good oral hygiene habits, encourage people to take care of their teeth, and educate them on how to prevent dental problems. A free Dental checkup camp was organized on 20th March 2023 in Bharamputra Enclave, Sidharth vihar, Ghaziabad from 9:30 Am to 2 pm by Department of Public Health Dentistry in Collaboration of Dept. of Periodontics, Santosh Dental College & Hospital.
The Faculty who participated in the camp were Dr Puneet Kumar (Professor & Head) and Dr Sachin Sharma from Department of Public Health Dentistry and Dr Amit Garg (Professor), Dr Priyanka Aggarwal (Professor) and Dr Aruna Nautiyal (senior lecturer) from Department of Periodontics & Oral Implantology.
The PGs who participated were Dr Shristi Agarwal and Dr Vaishali Rai Sharma from Department of Periodontics. Around 100 patients were examined. Patients were educated about Oral Health and its importance. Free Tooth Brushes, toothpastes and educational pamphlets were distributed to the patients.

On this occasion of World Oral Health Day, competitions were organized such as Reel competition, Slogan Writing and Best Selfie. The under graduates as well as the post graduates participated with much enthusiasm and bagged prizes as well.
The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (NOHP cell) jointly with IDA organized a month-long celebration across India. In this Regards, Nationwide flag off WOHD 2023 webinar was organized on 21st March 2023 from 12:00 pm to 1 pm which was attended by all faculty and post graduates.
