On the occasion of World Sight Day which was celebrated this year on 12th October 2023, Under the abled guidance of Dr Sarita Aggarwal , head of department of Ophthalmology of Santosh Medical College & Hospital conducted a CME focusing on the theme this year: “Love your eyes at work”.
The CME began with Introductory speech by Dr. Sarita Aggarwal, HOD, Department of Ophthalmology which was followed by public awareness about eye health at workplace in the Department of Ophthalmology OPD.
A guest lecture was then conducted via Zoom meeting on Dry Eye by Dr. Ritin Goel, Delhi’s leading corneal specialist & cataract surgeon of Goel eye Centres. The lecture was highly informative & provided in depth knowledge about Dry Eye disease.
This was followed by lecture on Fundamentals of Ocular Surface Disorders by Dr. Sarita Aggarwal (HOD, Department of ophthalmology, Santosh Medical College & Hospital) & Computer Vision Syndrome by Dr. Shikha Pawaiya (Associate Professor, Department of ophthalmology, Santosh Medical College & Hospital) which was appreciated by all.
Finally, the post graduate students of Department of Ophthalmology presented on various topics related to eye health at workplace and a concluding speech was then given by Dr. Somesh Ranjan (Assistant Professor, Department of ophthalmology, Santosh Medical College & Hospital).
The event was highly appreciated by all & the department is looking forward to conduct further such events.
