VISION

To excel in the field of the Oral Pathology Department in terms of academics, patient care, and research facilities.

MISSION

  • To depart extensive knowledge of pathophysiology, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases related to oral and para-oral structures.
  • To help the patient with adequate diagnosis by facilitating routine and advanced diagnostic tests.
  • To initiate and promote new ideas and innovation in the field of research.

The Department of Oral Pathology & Microbiology deals with the basic knowledge of anatomy, physiology, histology, embryology, pathology, and microbiology of tissues related to the oral and para oral structures. The Department caters to undergraduates of BDS 1st year, 2nd year, and 3rd year with two separate University examinations.

It also offers post-graduate programs and provides a center for scholarly activities, innovative research, patient care, and diagnosis of a wide range of diseases and abnormalities in the oral and maxillofacial areas.

The department offers the routine and special techniques used for histopathological, microbiological, and hematological investigations.
