The IQAC has been an integral part of the University which works towards realizing the goals of quality enhancement and sustenance through continuous reviews and periodic meetings and to promote quality culture for institutional functioning and best practices. It is the driving force for ushering in intervention strategies and enhance quality.[

Profile:
A seasoned educator with more than 25 years of experience in Medical Microbiology, Dr. Dakshina is a teacher, researcher and administrator and currently the Director IQAC and Professor, Department of Microbiology at Santosh Medical College, Santosh Deemed to be University, Ghaziabad. She also serves as the Medical Education Coordinator and is a member of multiple Internal Committees and is often invited as an External Examiner and Subject Expert at Medical Colleges across the Globe.
Over the years, Dr. Dakshina has created and implemented Medical, Dental and Para-Medical courses in an ever-changing and evolving curriculum, served as a thesis advisor (MD and Ph.D), and strongly encouraged, motivated and nurtured her students to realize their academic and clinical potential. She was instrumental in setting up the Department of Microbiology since its inception in 1997 and in 2007 when we achieved the Deemed University status was appointed Professor and Head. In this role, her leadership skills enabled her team to serve as an effective and efficient unit and align it to the Vision and Mission of the College.
Dr. Dakshina is a firm believer in the value of Medical Education and Research and acutely aware of its fluctuating, dynamic and transformative nature, actively participates in and creates opportunities for faculty and students to publish and present papers in National and International journals and Conferences respectively. As a researcher she has been credited with more than 55 publications in National and International Journals and as a Reviewer for various Indexed Academic Journals.
As an administrator she has held posts of Vice Dean and Dean Academics with increasing roles and responsibilities. Especially for her dedication, passion, enthusiasm and commitment, Dr.Dakshina was recognized with awards that include Rising Star, Transformational Leader, Woman of Substance to name a few and recently awarded the Research Excellence Award in 2021. She is a Member of the Board of Management of Santosh Deemed to be University.
She was the Principal Coordinator during the 2015 visit of National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) and working currently for the reaccreditation cycle and moving forward now serves as the Director IQAC.
